The Serpentine Gallery has an international reputation for excellence since opening back in the early 1970's, Many artists, architects and designers have worked there during this time and made a name for themselves. The Gallery is a Grade II listed former tea pavilion had a major renovation in 1998, originally under the Patronage of Diana Princess of Wales. I cannot think of a nicer way to spend the day walking along the Serpentine then popping by the Long Water looking at the magnificent sculpture by Henry Moore "The Arch" then stopping by this gallery for some more culture and art. Go see it you will enjoy it.

Disgusting experiance at the galleries cafe. The staff took over an hour to bring us two salads. Tried to charge us £5 for a small slice of seeded bread. The waiter and manager clearly had no idea what they were doing and it honestly would have been easier if I served myself. The gallery seems nice though.

The Serpentine Gallery is a beautiful and small gallery housed in one of the most beautiful parks in London; they have free and regular exhibitions; and although some of them are not to everyone’s taste; they have certainly showcased very important artists in the last few years including Paula Rego, Damian Hirst, Jeff Koons, Andy Wharhool and others.

An intresting introspection in abstract art in the middle of the beautiful nature of Kensington Gardens or Hyde Park. A modern building with a friendly and pleasant staff. Unfortunately I do not understand too much of modern art but i discoverd that most of people , if not everybody does not understand.
