"TouchBase Pears is a pioneering, multi-purpose centre for the whole community in Birmingham and beyond - a place that brings people together in a welcoming environment where everyone can feel connected, included and part of the community."
As an individual I support and have been involved in plenty of charity work over the years. Something that runs in the family; you might say we have the volunteering bug. That being said I'd never been to the sense touchbase pears building before and it was lovely inside. I attended here for the Christmas fair as I was selling my art. Staff were lovely and friendly, really supportive and accommodating.
Absolutely love it gete. Cafe lovely. Library brilliant. Free games to play so good especially table tennis.
Although the place is nice and useful, do not work there please. I was treated really badly when i was there for only 1.5 weeks although a 3 month temporary contract. They got rid of me because they did not like me chatting to another temp! Which meant i was left jobless, no income and had rent, bills and food to pay towards. Terrible company to work for and awful management. You're treated unfairly and then dismissed if you chat to other temporary workers. Shocking.
Beautiful venue. Thanks for hosting Chloe's St John event
The lovely community centre with the bizarre name. Cafe with play area. Small Birmingham library but with loads of children's books. Many function rooms and events. The only downside was I couldn't find anywhere to lock a bike but turns out there's a bike shed - you have to ask for the code.
Came here to attend Story Tots session on Monday morning. It was a great experience. It is obviously children friendly environment for age 0-5. It has changing and disable facilities. The library opens twice weekly, every Monday and on alternate Thursday and Saturday. They also have cafe selling lovely cakes, drinks and snacks.
A fully accessible community centre with a wide range of disability friendly facilities and regular activities. The Hive cafe serves breakfast, lunch and refreshments. I tried the porridge.... delicious!
Fantastic welcome resource for local community as well as the deafblind community it was built for.
It's really nice and peaceful in there. Cosy place. But such a shame there's no computers to do your work on in the library setting otherwiseI wouldhavegave it more stars.
Fantastic place to take your little ones to play join the library. Great sensory room art room computers to use games to play. Also facilities for children and adults with complex needs. Food drinks hot and cold served all day.
