I booked Keyhunter through a voucher I was given for me and three family members. Overall, I enjoyed the experience and we had good feedback for the escape room in general. The setting in some parts looks quite tired, and the location is a little difficult to get to - it's generally away from the city centre. But, the staff were really friendly and despite some slight confusion over the vouchers and booking system, the staff did their best to help. Keyhunter is a fun way to spend your afternoon and as mentioned, I enjoyed the experience overall.
We got vouchers for Christmas to visit here so went as a four to do the Red Curse. It was a really fun escape room, challenging and we did get stuck at one point but managed to get out with 4 minutes to spare. The four of us all really enjoyed it and would definitely visit again!
Had a lot of fun in the escape room with my boyfriend! We did the Triads one and the room was nicely decorated according to the theme. The staff was really friendly and made us feel welcome. The game was very fun and we enjoyed the small details. When we were completely stuck, we could ask for clues on the walkie talkie :
We had a voucher to visit Keyhunter. I have done several room escapes at different locations and this one felt a bit low budget and there wasn't much variety in puzzle type. We enjoyed reading the backstory, unfortunately it didn't really translate in the room and it wasn't as immersive as it could have been. The member of staff was very friendly and gave us lots of encouragement and praise when we escaped. The rooms are not accessible for wheelchair users or people who struggle with stairs as they are very steep. There is a toilet onsite.
My girlfriend bought us a ticket to play the Silver difficulty, and was very excited about the prospect of a challenging, story driven adventure. The room we were locked in was very cheaply furnished and felt tacky at best - you could've bought all the stuff in the room for less than the £44 we paid! The torches supplied didn't even have full batteries in them and died before half way. The bloke on the desk clearly was bored stiff, which you can hardly blame him for, but still disappointing. Would not recommend.
I have completed a number of escape rooms with my partner nationally and internationally. This game was extremely simplistic classed silver by the company. I expected a reasonably high standard and arrange this for a group of friends. The game lasted around 19 minutes and the last 3 minutes was simply us standing wondering why the game was over so quickly. For £60 I expect a much more challenging experience and from completing these games in Greece, Canada, Germany and other cities in the UK I was extremely dissappointed. We asked the gentleman after completing the game if we receive some sort of refund due to the fact the standard of the game was poor which we never received. Even the gentleman at the desk seemed completely embarrassed by the fact we finished so quickly after the hype. Very poor game. Very poor challenge. And for the price I expected much much more.
Went with group of 6. Double agent game. Really good. Had fun and would go again. Just around corner from China town so you can go for nice meal aftereards. Downside.....on street parking not cheap, inside building quite shabby and everywhere smells of damp.
This is a decent place to start and do these mystery rooms however I will say that these rooms are basic. For example all that was needed to get out of the room was to find different keys to padlocks. Its okay nothing special. I think the place could update their room by adding different range of puzzles so it doesn't become repetitive.
First "Keyhunter" experience. Difficulty is pitched well, and is suitable for groups of 5-7. Good experience! Main drawback is the booking system, you book a 90 minute slot but the duration of event is only 60 minutes. However, would definitely recommend
This was my first time doing this sort of thing and I loved it . I would say this would be the perfect intro for a newbie. Not too complicated, but challenging enough to put you into the necessary mind frame. The staff were absolutely fantastic. Can't praise them enough. I would like my next experience to be more immersive though xxx
