The true test of any company is how they respond when things go wrong. Unfortunately on this occasion things did go wrong for me when my car developed a fault shortly after I bought it. Dan and Gordon took full responsibility, no messing and no excuses. They had the car repaired in the shortest time possible as I didn't want a refund. They offer a friendly service but I can also say now with confidence, they offer a trustworthy service and I'm happy to recommend them and would buy again from them.
Bought my car august 2017 was very pleased and staff was very helpful. Had a few problems through my 6 months warranty but got sorted straight away and even put extra 12 month mot on when mine ran out for the trouble i had.
Sale staff is very welcoming. But after you've paid, the after sale service is poor and keep ignoring your requests. the sold car looks good but few issues not solved and cleverly ignored until the end of the warranty. BR
I baught a car from this garage and within a week it had broken down and when i called they said to call the warranty, but they wouldnt cover the problem. In the 10 months i owned this car i have had to spend £3,100 on breakages not including tyres ect. I advise anyone to give this place a miss unless you like spending money needlessly.
I bought a Jaguar XF from Select Motors, Widnes 4 months ago. There was a small issue at first and this was resolved instantly. Great people to deal with, loving the car and would highly recommend Select Motors as a friendly and capable company to deal with.
I bought a car from here January this year, was advised will be serviced, cleaned and mot'd, the usual sales package. i had the car for 2 weeks with no MOT cert, I kept chasing eventually I got it from the garage they use which was dated the day i picked up it up not the day it should have been tested ?? The car started making a clunking noise so I went back to the garage complained they sent me up to the repair garage, who knew nothing about me booking my car in, eventually they looked at it said there was no problem, I drove away and took it back the same week as was still clucking , again they said can't see any problem. Last month it started to drive a bit sluggish, obvs my 3 month warranty had ran out! So I took it to a garage myself and they advised that no service had ever been done and that it looked like the air and oil filter had never been changed!! I got to see the new and old air filter and it was a disgrace !!! And id like to note the this is a car registered in 2009, i can't even put it into words. So I paid for the service. Couple of weeks later my car started to grind, went to garage and my back brake pads were running on metal to metal which meant I also need the discs replacing, not just on the back but also on the fronts, so having to pay for all that to be done. The pads had never been changed ever!!!! In my opinion the car should never have passed the mot I do think this was mot'd without being looked at !!!!! Don't be fooled by the over friendly sales guys all they want is a sale and don't care how much it will cost the customer in the future!!!!
I've put one star because there is not a minus option. My partners daughter bought a car from him eighteen months ago. Within the first week the battery went which he very kindly replaced with a battery that was not the correct one for the vehicle and had to be replaced again by us . The spark plugs were worn and had to be replaced within the first six months of course again not covered by his Mickey Mouse warranty. When questioned about the problens he was very rude and saidche needed to make a profit. The car failed it's first MOT with nine faults and seventeen advisories. Last but not least the clutch has now gone. PLEASE DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HERE. They either genuinely know nothing about cars or they just put profit before safety.
Constant lies, from replacing battery and faulty electronics to complete breakdowns. Also lied about amount of previous owners. If you're buying make sure everything is fixed before taking off the forecourt, as they'll do their best to avoid fixing it afterwards.
Zero stars! was forced to pick 1 These guys don't service the cars properly and warranty is useless. Be prepared to pay for repairs after you drive away your 'new' car.
Travelled a long way to view an advertised car, but was severely disappointed at the condition and presentation of the vehicle. "Select Motors" is rather inappropriate for this company.
