Friendly, helpful station. Good service to Leeds but track to York is clattery and old.

Selby is a good station which needs some tlc, two shelter extensions is a start. The ticket office has plenty of space for information and timetables. The next room is the waiting room which is followed by the cafe. They are through ganged. There are two toilets which is the minimum acceptable for the station's status. There's a bike rack and a taxi office. Selby could do with these services ... 1 Goole to Selby via Snaith and Brayton, 2 Doncaster to Selby calling at Brayton, achievable if required by East Coast's pick train to / from York diverting via Selby, and Hull Trains service running every 2 hours, 2 trains / 2 hours, 3 Sheffield or Huddersfield to Selby or Hull via Wakefield, and Pontefract.

Good station with regular trains to Hull York and Leeds. Next to the bus station

Great little station with links to York, Leeds, Hull, Manchester, Doncaster and London. Friendly, helpful staff and a nice little cafe too as you walk in.

It is a basic station, with two toilets that are rarely clean. I today had to clean up the toilet before I could use it, which wasn't a pleasant job. I don't enjoy using this station.
