Terribly shoddy standard of service - Sefton Council should be ashamed of themselves for allowing this to continue even in 2022. 1 Phoning is useless - takes forever for calls to be answered with the typical "we're busy from the minute the lines are switched on till they're switched off" nonsense which just means there's not enough staff employed for that. Making any complaint along these lines falls on deaf ears. Sidenote - the hold music is appalling. Is it so much to ask to just have a dial tone going instead - or how about give people the option? 2 Appointments required to speak to someone in person at the One Stop Shop, but again refer to 1 - it can take 20+ minutes just to speak to someone for that! 3 Rude, uninterested and unhelpful staff to add to their incompetence - if you don't want to deal with customers, don't work in customer service. Disgraceful. 4 Requirement to email for taxi related enquiries, but the emails are never replied to, or it takes literally weeks - WEEKS - IN 2022 WHEN MANY ARE WORKING FROM HOME! How that's allowed to happen is beyond me, and also totally alienates less tech-savvy individuals and could even be construed as illegal discrimination. 5 No live chat service on their site. Again, Sefton are living in the past. Wouldn't be so bad if their other forms of contact were better, but alas, barking up on the wrong tree on that one. Just really unacceptable standards for the modern age, and seemingly no care in the world to rectify things.
I have been many times in the sefton council because of my job.Lauren is absolutely helpful and she loves her job. Thanks again Lauren.
Waited on the phone for 20 minutes to discuss my Council Tax payments before getting buttoned, disgusting. Don't expect anything else from Seftons call teams though. Tried phoning again, another 20 minutes waiting for someone to answer and got buttoned yet again.
Phone lines not active, only dealing with email applications - case dealing response time 4!!! WEEKS!!!... If this was not a government institution, this would not be acceptable that's a FACT. It's criminal how this council operates. People losing out on a lot of potential income because of the incompetency of the council. They have simple tasks to do, but all takes ages! Absolute disgrace. Staff is extremely slow and lame, they are now working from home so you can imagine the productivity went below the already extremely low level. In case you are a long term unemployed person, don't you worry, this council will most likely not just give you free money, but also free home appliances and free internet etc - this is guaranteed, I know people in Bootle who got all this. Working people are no priority to this council. I guess each to their own, or how's the saying ;
If i could rate zero i would of,worst reception customer servise ever they are veru rude ,its not cost anything to be nice and polite but ohhh no they very very rude
I have had a terrible experience, went down to the reception she told me to wait until my name was called as she said she typed it into the system. I waited 45 mins, even other people were served before me but they came later then me. So, I went back to the reception to ask what was going on? Apparently, she had not put my name into the system so had to wait another 15 mins for my turn even though it wasn't busy at all. It's not about the time but the service and attention to detail as I had a little one with me. Other councils provide you with a ticket number to have a fair service. I don't understand why sefton council don't do anything about this?

Not enough staff in office phone calls not answered only email and a lot of people don't know how to email
Not very happy as I got to the one stop shop at 4.10 and it was closed. The website says it's 5pm close.
