Story

Welcome to Sea Fare Fish Bar, a traditional fish and chip shop with a modern twist.

We are located in the heart of the renowned Northcote Road (aka Nappy Valley).

We were established in 1961, initially opened by Mr Sphikas and taken over by Mr & Mrs Panayiotou (current occupiers) in 1979.

Our ethos then, and now, is to offer fresh, tasty fish & chips; only now, we will be bringing traditional fish and chips into the 21st century.

Sea Fare Fish Bar is moving with the times and introducing healthier alternatives eg, grilled fish and handmade salads whilst continuing to serve traditional fish and chips.

We have succumbed to the coffee culture of Northcote Road! We will now be offering freshly ground coffee and breakfast options.

All our fish is always fresh and sustainably sourced, caught and delivered daily from Billingsgate Fish Market, so it's fresh on your plate/paper every time you visit.

We pride ourselves on our unique (and very secret!) batter recipe which is proven to be light, crispy, flavoursome and moreish.

We have worked hard at creating a traditional Fish and Chip menu with a slight twist of delicious freshly grilled fish and other grilled options.

We will continue to offer all the classic fish and chip dishes e.g. pies, battered sausages, mushy peas etc while introducing, handmade salads, great beers (coming soon), coffees and a breakfast menu with a lovely place to sit down.

All our foods are cooked using only Rapeseed Oil which we recycle into biofuel after use. Rapeseed oil is low in saturated fat, so has been hailed for its health benefits and also has other nutritional bonuses.

We continue to ensure that our restaurant is child friendly, community orientated, value for money and fabulously fresh food whether you eat in or takeaway.

We have submitted an application to obtain a license to allow us to sell alcohol to customers eating in our shop. We will keep you updated with regards to this.

Want to eat something special tomorrow? Order from a large variety of fish which are not ordinarily on the menu, we will order it in, and prepare it for you for the next day.
