Phoned the shop to order 2 large cod and 1 large chips ,they said it would be 10 minutes,we picked it up on time , got home to eat it,it wasn’t hot and the fish was 6 bits of fish that we couldn’t eat, the fish was tough, chips were warm..I phone the shop straight away to complain, it’s kept going through to the answering service,I rang 3 times… I then called them the next day and asked to speak to the manager,he conveniently wasn’t available,I asked for a discount on my next meal as we had been long time costumers,,they wouldn’t give me anything,we won’t be visiting this shop again… poor service ,poor food and very poor management
Owner would benefit from smiling once in a while, speaking clearly, and being patient with customers. Came across as rude and inpatient. I came in with a smile, left not wanting to ever go back. Chips are pretty bad, there's this black dirt looking stuff on them. Battered sausage was actually pretty tasty but very greasy.
These chips look nothing like all of the other photo reviews They looked and tasted like they had been reheated like 3 times maybe more. Me and my partner couldn't eat them They made me gag They tasted absolutely grotesque We got cod and that wasn't great either but not as bad as the chips I feel like alot of money was wasted. What a disappointment. This was the worst fish and chip experience in my whole life. I will be avoiding this shop from here on out. Sticking to weeting chips They are the best. Good reviews on here are not honest Scroll down more to see the truth. More bad reviews than first appears.
Just home from a weekend in Centre Parcs. Instead of paying the ridiculous prices in the park I made the 12 minute drive to this chippy. Great choice. All cooked fresh. Great value. Great service. Fed 14 people for £68. RESULT

Over cooked ,dry fish ,chips were lots of chips but like they were cooked twice reheated, hardly any batter on the sausage
OK where do I start. Went there this evening as I'm staying in the village till Friday. Chip shop is across the road which thought was handy. Got the chips home. Worst chips I've ever had in my life. They were like a week old maybe older. Been cooked so many times they tasted awful. Black and like cardboard. My friend took them back. Man was rude. Replaced the chips with the same chips. Chips look nothing like the pics on his site. I advise don't eat here waste of money
We decided to eat in at the Fish Bar. Very friendly reception and lovely food. Good, honest fish and chips with mushy peas by choice and a good price too. Drop in and enjoy.
Just had fish and chips, fish was ok, the problem was the chips. Tasted as if ut had been cooked more than once or maybe reheated. In general not as good as it used to be.
Fish is always freshly cooked and delicious. Chip portions are very generous. There is plenty of seating if you wish to eat in.
