The food was due to arrive at 17.50 and was marked as on it's way at 17.40. When it didn't arrive I chased the takeaway and was given a new time of 18.05. The food still didn't arrive so I contacted them by phone. The lady who answered the phone informed me that Just Eat had updated it to say the food was on it's way not them. Then she said someone else in the takeaway had accidentally pressed the button and it had only just left. Then claimed again it was Just Eat who had changed the status to on it's way. When I questioned her about her giving different stories she wanted to know if I was a regular as regulars never complain. They understand the way it work and as I'm not a regular I shouldn't be complaining. I was then informed that as I had called to chase the late delivery and questioned the changing story I was banned from any future orders. That's fine as I would never order from them again. Then the food arrived 30 minutes late and cold. The ribs were cold but edible. The pineapple chicken had so little flavour that if I didn't have the ribs which had flavour I'd be worried I'd got coronavirus. The chicken was rubbery and it was the blandest Chinese food I've ever tried. I ended up putting it in the bin.
I don’t know why I’ve ordered 3 times from here. All consistently awful. Chicken was a weird texture. Chips tasted like they were cooked yesterday. Sauces tasteless and noodles burnt ! Avoid
Thought I would try a new Chinese takeaway for a change and have regretted it. Ordered spare ribs which to be honest be nice in a nice sauce. The main courses, however we're awful. The beef in the beef curry didn't have the taste or texture of beef but was fatty and too light in colour to be beef. My Singapore chow mein had the same fatty 'beef' and also tough chicken. Honestly the worse main meals I have ordered. Avoid this place
DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. I have an allergy to mushrooms, couldn't see option to remove mushrooms from dishes on their website so I called up. I explained that I have an allergy to mushrooms and ordered 2 curries for my girlfriend and I, both without mushrooms. They wouldn't deliver as it was new years eve and when I got it home I discovered that both dishes had mushrooms. I called up and got no answer so no take away for us on new years. Called up the next day and was told I'd be called the following day to be offered a refund which apparently good enough for almost putting me in hospital on new years eve and can't even offer a solution at the time of my calling. And they didn't even call the following day. I'm going to go in store later and see if they like the idea of spending the night in hospital.
ORDERED 6:45pm, justeat booking said arrival time 7:40pm, email confirmation said 8:10pm, no food arrived at 8:10pm, called at 8:20pm to be told that it hadn’t left the restaurant but we could expect the food within 10 min....ARRIVED 8:37pm. They said on the phone that they were busy and had changed the justeat time to the longest possible....but they wouldn’t decline any orders or call customers to inform them that they were running on a 2 hour delivery timescale.
been using Sea Garden for 10 years now, only got the order wrong once, never had any bad food from here, never ordered delivery always collect. I believe that it has been taken over in the last couple of years and they went down hill for a few weeks but seems fine now.
Hi, My family and I have been using Sea Gardens ,ever since it opened up, about 7 years ago, could be a little longer. Although the menu is typical Chinese and Cantanise menu, the dishes that we order regularly, such a sweet & sour chicken, beef with green peppers in black bean sauce, chef's paradise curry and some duck dishes, have been excellent, authenticly cooked, light and moorish. Service, in the shop, is quick and so is the deliver service. Can't see into the kitchen but restaurant is always clean and bright. Altogether, a friendly ' Take - Away ' with lots of dishes to choose from and well cooked food.
Arrived 1hr10min after ordered. Prawn cocktail was poor, different sized prawns mostly tiny cheap ones you get from asda at smartprice. Ordered BBQ ribs in BBQ sauce and got dry BBQ ribs with lemon. They were completely bone dry couldn't even swallow the meat. The chow mein was also bone dry and the chicken was rubber, didn't look fresh at all looked like its been kept for a few days. All the food was luke warm when arrived but the chips were stone cold and tasted like cardboard. Will not be ordering from again!
Chicken was horrible, tasted reheated and chewy. Prawn crackers were days old, not one was crispy. Not one for leaving reviews but I hope it encourages them to up there game. Had to get a maccies..
