This event center stands out as one of the most convenient venues I have ever visited. The expansive space is not only airy but also beautifully designed, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The staff members are exceptionally coordinated and attentive, ensuring that every detail is managed smoothly.
Recently visited for the model train fair with my kids, they had a great afternoon out. Thank you to all the staff and hobbyists whom took the time to answer ALL THE QUESTIONS my children asked
Horror con: was definitely a decent venue for an event. Also first time in Glasgow by myself so this was definitely an experience getting around when I didn’t know the area. This was really easy to get to on foot from queen street station only taking 30 minutes to get to.
Visit was for the carnival which was funnnOverall it does the job it's just little things that could be slightly improved. The overall building looks fairly good in first viewing but then you soon see the age coming through on this well used venue.nnToilets are old and smelly, the concourse is dated and lacks any real appeal with the pointless shops that just seem to take ages to get served and are poorly stocked.nnThe 'newish' Clyde bar area has zero atmosphere and is stupidly expensive considering the mediocre mainstream beers they serve. I haven't tried the food before so I can't comment on that but it didn't look the most original of menus.nnA lot of the floor staff seemed annoyed that the place is filled with people trying to have fun and as much as I realise it is a bit of a thankless task dealing with partygoers, children and massive crowds it would be nice to think that the venue was pleased it had customers.nnAs this is asking for a campus review I will add from previous trips notesnnArmadillo Clyde auditorium, I believe - generally jive inside and it is a lovely venue for watching music or performance. Bad side. The stupid bar system. Whoever came up with that was clearly determined to ruin everyone's day. Why do I need to queue twice to get a drink? Over-engineer much????nnHydro/OVO/flying saucer thingnnWoeful. One of the worst venues in the UK, if not the world.nn1. Sound is terriblen2. Feels like a car park/airport combon3. Very poor drinks selection. Sold their soul to Heineken and it shows. Prices outrageous for mass produced beer.n4. Everything is so far away.A walk to the toilets needs an overnight bag and a compass.n5. It's souless. Beyond that....it's dystopian but not in an interesting way, in a Cumbernauld town centre sort of way.nnI'll leave it at 5 points for now....
Attended as part of the BNMS Spring Meeting, venue was well laid out with plenty of parking. Good number of facilities and water stations. Also had a quiet area upstairs that I could sneak off to to get some work done.
