Can't fault this o2. The London one needs a lot of work doing to it to make it feel safe and clean but this one although somewhat smaller it is easier to navigate. Security on the door is perfect. And the wee smoking area they provide outside for intervals is just what we need. Prices of food yeah way over priced given how much the venue makes off of ticket sales as it is. There needs to be a better snack selection but guess this is what venues are all about - rip off prices because most will just pay it as if it is a treat. I go too regularly for it to be classed as such. Went to see ashnikko second concert and the best thing about this place has to be the acoustics. Out of this world
The O2 is an old venue and you can tell. There are definitely access issues. The staff are lovely, there's only so much they can do. The fact the venue has steps the second you enter and the cloakroom is then up another flight of stairs just isn't accessible at all. And the access benches are a NIGHTMARE, I hate the feeling of everyone pressing in around me and people always try to slowly inch across in front of you for the best view. People literally press right up against your back and reach over you and it's just a horrible feeling. There is no other venue in glasgow that has access like that. It's pretty close to the stage and you get a good view though which is better than some others.
Went to see BBno$, had the most amazing time!!! Enjoyed every second and loved the opener Jungle Bobby!! Found a new favourite artist.nThe staff were great and the seats were so comfy.
Great venue for live music, easy to get to and always well organised. Most recent concert, Magdalena Bay, who were amazing, can only describe them as a hit of acid without the drugs. Highly recommend the venue, drinks were cheap enough, friendly staff and clean amenities.
A decent enough venue with efficient and friendly security and bar staff. Sound quality is a bit muddy sometimes, but overall not bad. Plenty of room downstairs we had seated tickets for balcony but just stayed downstairs anyway. Close enough to walk from city centre just across the bridge at Jamaica Street. Bar prices as expected for music venues £14 for two pints.
