Stumbled across this corner cafe when I was visiting St James near by, this is such a gem hidden in the city! The owner was super friendly and the food was simply amazing. It is nothing fancy but you can taste the heart and passion in the food. It has been around since 1967 run by the current owners’ parents. It was so lovely to see family owned places like this survived COVID and wish that it will be around for another long long time.
Old fashioned and very polite sandwich bar. The friendly staff member told me what was available that day rather than a menu being available. Great decor. Nice fresh sandwich and cup of tea served. Great to see places like this are still around, we've got to support them!
Such an amazing place - beautiful original decor and delicious, warming capelletti in brodo with generously buttered bread plus it’s owned by the friendliest people ever. Wish I worked nearer clerkenwell so I could come every week!
The best! The warmest and most genuine service you'll find anywhere in London. Great selection of really yummy sandwiches honourable mention to the chicken escalope and the most delicious capelletti in broth!
Really delicious sandwiches, extremely friendly operators, inexpensive. Paying by card is possible. I will come back when I'm again in London and need a snack again!Food: 5/5
10/10 experience in all areas. Friendly, warm and tasty... what more can you want from a cafe. Come check the vibes for yourself, you will not be disappointed!
London’s infamous ‘Diamond Wheezers’ were known to have held secret meetings here while planning the Hatton garden heist. Note: scotti’s themselves were not involved
Fantastic place, very friendly and welcoming, the staff were amazing. I had a proper snack break away in quiet and surrounded by nothing but friendly faces. Would recommend to anyone. I will return!
I had heard about this place and been meaning to visit for some time - what a fantastic spot. Firstly, the welcome and service from the family was unparalleled; they ask your name and look you in the eye with a smile when they serve you - you don't get many places like this these days. Secondly, the chicken escalope was without doubt one of the best sandwiches I've ever had - freshly cooked escalope, lettuce, tomato, mayo and a squeeze of lemon inside a slightly toasted, soft ciabatta... and thirdly, a great cuppa. I'll be back often.
The loveliest people and the best cup of tea I’ve had from anywhere in london
