Local swift shop run Large enough store with plenty options including the £5 meal deal. Selection of offers on meat like 2 for £7 etc. Pet food and freezer options. Bakery is good but is extra expensive (and it’s not Greggs). Can be expensive but on the whole for a high street store it’s what you’d expect to pay. I find the stock replenishing rather frustrating and often things are not reordered due to lack of customer buying that item. Which can be frustrating. Electrical items way over priced. Self serve options available but not for cigarettes or alcohol. Flexible payment options with a cash line on the wall outside for ease. 80% staff are lovely friendly and helpful. Occasionally you get the pair who are having their own conversation while serving customers which is not great and I’m not saying they don’t need to communicate with each other. Just sometimes you are served and not even spoken to until they have to ask if you want cash back which annoys them as then they need to be acknowledge you are there. On the whole half the town work or have worked in there so there is always plenty local banter.. supervisors are great also.

Disappointing as stock often runs out before deliveries. They stop stocking products which sell. Apparently the decision on what to stop selling is taken at head office. Surely that should be the shop manager's job? I went to Broxburn Co-op today as I wanted to buy fresh butcher meat. I couldn't help noticing the empty shelves there too. I was disappointed to see that they have stopped selling Millar Pan Drops. Broxburn Co-op was the only place I could buy them. It is hardly surprising that people are shopping at the bigger supermarkets.

Normally okay, not the cheapest but reasonable. Bare shelves with delivery problems this winter.

Prices to high staff are ignorant it's as if it's to difficult to be pleasant!!although they do have 3 nice staff that are very nice they are Margaret, James, and Paul always nice I'm afraid the rest are not.The service is very slow and they all chat to each other while serving customers I work in retail myself and this is not acceptable you should be focused on your customer.
