I've worked in this building for 23 years, first in the Department of Botany, then in the School of Plant Sciences, finally in the School of Biological Sciences. It's a good place to work with a strong social identity driven by common academic interests and lively and engaged students. There's also a volunteer run coffee service at 11am weekdays that helps to bring people togther in the foyer of the Harborne Building. It's one minute's walk to the greenhouses, the Harris Garden and the Wilderness so i can connect with living things each day and give my eyes a rest from the computer monitor.
