Very tasty and indulgent, I would prefer all the saucy ships to be with skinny fries rather than chunky, but this is just personal preference! Next time I will visit I will ask if this is possible. The Mac & cheese was a favourite
Loved it, better than GBK and any other burger on Lordship lane. Fresh ingredients, fresh meat, salad, bun. And Oh GOD the fries, they were literally amazing! Thanks guys, keep the good work!
The burgers and fries were very good, but when there is so much competition from Honest Burgers, Byron Burgers, and the others, I think the pricing is off. The cheapest burger + fries + drink is about £20; add a starter or a dessert and it's easily going to be £30 a head or more 12½% service is automatically added to the bill. Perhaps to try to justify the prices they have upmarket details like cloth napkins and fancy soaps in the toilets, but the food is still served on a piece of paper in a tray; it's messy food you eat with your hands, not an "upmarket" meal. I expect it worked much better when the company first started: serving the food out of a van at festivals etc.
First visit to Saucy, will be back for sure. Good homemade burgers and tasty fries. The real winner were the chicken tenders, delicious and juicy tender. We had a nice ice cream from the dispenser for desert as well. Very reasonably priced, with draft beer and larger on tap. Well recommended!
Lovely food - fresh and tasty - we had chicken burger and fish and chips. Beer on tap, good wine selection all reasonably priced. And great service from the young, friendly team! Thoroughly recommend and we will definitely be back!!
The customer service is great. It did take a while 26 mins for our mains to come out even for 11 mains. The food is banging, a little pricey for large fries but the wings are served hot as were the popcorn shrimp and the rest of the food. Everyone loved the food but my daughter said the mac n cheese was small which in fairness it was it needed a garlic bread with it to bulk it out, you are paying £8 after all for a childs meal. It's a new restaurant which I think everyone should check out, good taste in music as well .
Came here on a recommendation - was amazed. You have to order the steak gravy chips. The website says best chips in London - this is not a lie - it is entirely honestly and completely true. The owner is lovely and really wants you to have a nice time. A beautiful addition to lordship lane. Well done!
Highly recommend this new restaurant. Staff were very accommodating, food tasted amazing, bursting with flavour! I'm not usually a huge burger fan but it was one of the nicest I have tasted : thanks for a great evening on your opening night
This is a great place! Burgers and beer and chips and soft icecream. Really good soundtrack very Sam and Dean if you are into supernatural which I am. Chilled service from lovely young men. Good choice of wine. It's a bit like the malt shop in grease which is a good thing.
I live around the corner and have been to this restaurant a few times and we have started to go more often. Yesterday evening we went for dinner and were surprised to see a new menu with allot of changes, and drastic ones too! Albeit not to worry why not give it a go - however we later discovered the menu is very overcrowded and difficult to comprehend even with good eyes and the owners have made very drastic changes compared to the previous menu which was only there a few days before. Moving on - we love this place and it’s very nice and relaxing and the food was good quality - however it seems too many drastic changes have been made to the food and drinks menu which suggests a big problem, or lack of turnover and too many overheads. Yesterday we were very surprised and decided to ask why but were told they don’t know and these decisions are by the owners who run the business from the ‘back office’ amongst their other ventures. By no means is this a negative review but purely a review to inform those who own the company that the path they are going down if they continue will be a very slippery slope and end up with the restaurant being closed and no more customers. I have been in business for sometime and also own restaurants, and the one thing which is a faux pas is to make very rapid changes, especially more so if they haven’t yet established themselves and haven’t been around for even a year. Please listen to this advice and as much as a new business is easy - you have to walk the tightrope for 18months at the minimum before you start to ‘realise your investment’. End conclusion - invest in your customers, seek a steady turnover and make sure people come back! At the moment I’m inclined to return but when the chicken tenders have reduced from 9 pieces to 5 and the price is higher that’s not a good invitation!
