I don't usually leave reviews but on this occasion I need to. I ordered via JustEat 1x regular chips, 1x saveloy, 1x steak n kidney pie, 1x fish cake, 2x onions and a curry sauce. The food wasn't great. The standards of food for this place needs to be reviewed by the owners. I know most of it is processed, but even then it needs better care. The saveloy was shrivelled and the ends were really dry. It was like they just microwaved it for a minute. The fish cake tasted weird, not sure about the branding of this product. The pie had a really dry and hard upper crust, but a soggy lower half. Again, seemed microwaved which gave such a difference in texture between the top and bottom of the pie. The curry sauce was very thick, needs more water. The chips were fine, can't really go wrong.
Decided to try this establishment to grab some chips for lunch. A couple was being served so I waited in line. Once they left I was stood waiting for around 2 mins for someone to take my order but none of the 4 staff behind the counter bothered, they just kept chatting to themselves. I found this extremely rude and unprofessional. Therefore I walked out the door and took my business elsewhere. As I was walking out the door one of the workers asked if he could help me. Ah so I wasn't invisible after all. I didn't bother wasting my breath. Needless to say I won't be visiting again. This is a prime example of how not to conduct business.
All good here Nice crispy fish and chips Lovely doner kebab with really tasty home made chilli sauce I work not far from here great for lunch Food: 5/5
Really bad Fish bar with tasteless oily fish & Chips and the worst kebabs. Quality of food is really bad and worst of all is the unfriendly staff that have no customer service skills unless you are a Arab man maybe. Don't go here you will just be wasting your money! Should be closed down
The portion sizes were decent and it was delivered quickly, however the food was excessively greasy, to the point I couldn’t actually eat it… the sausage and chips were practically dripping in oil and there was even little pools of oil at the bottom of the container
This place is a bit hit and miss. The portions get smaller but the prices keep increasing, even before covid. But yesterday I got food poisoning from their chicken. Approach with caution
The bread for my chip roll was DRY. Crumbly, dry texture. Peter's offered to grill the bread roll and actually said this will make the bread soft. LOL. I paid in cash. No refund was offered. Disgusting customer service, the food is average at best. I will not spend a penny in this place again. Do not bother wasting your money here either!!
I don’t know how this place can call themselves a fish bar!! This is the worst fish and chips I have ever had in my whole life! The fish is clearly not freshly batter but rather a frozen Asda fish piece put into a fryer that leave it tasting of old oil and grease. The chips if you can call them that were tasting very old and not at all soft which you would expect from a fish bar. Would have rated it 0 if I could but I couldn’t. Don’t go here I wouldn’t pay £1 for what I got served let alone £40!!! All I can say now is DISGUSTING
Friendly staff. Good all round. I normally go for a Lamb Kebab and Chips. As expected. Satisfies the craving. Great fresh chips!
