I visited Santander today with a family member to open a bank account where we met Benjamin Frost, a staff member. I can’t explain in words how professional, friendly and helpful he was. It was a pleasure meeting him.
It's a bank. If you have an account with them, you can go inside and withdraw money. If there's a long queue, which there was when I visited, a friendly lady asks you what transaction you're here to do, and shows you how to use a machine instead of a person, if that's an available option.
Great bank, the staff so friendly and it was very easy to open an account, completely different to other banks such Lloyds or Barklays . Absolutely recommended!
I must say, the staff did try their best, however Santander is not very friendly to non UK students.

In the past, occasionally, I have been critical with Santander, but only for online services, as I have never complained about their branches' performance. Today, I am very pleased to leave a review for Santander's branch at Cross Street, Manchester. The overall service was superb, and the way I was looked after could not be any better, it was excellent in fact! If I may, I would like to mention Maryam & Nina who have shown me attentive & genuine care, dedicating me time, attention & respect, and going beyond expectations in my overall customer experience: thank you so much!!
