Very disappointed after a promising start. Relocated from London to Berlin between July and August. Some good points - Gafir who helped organise the German delivery was great as was Reece who coordinated things but has now left. Most of the packing team in the Uk read on for why not all and the unpacking team in Germany all really decent. Otherwise… a mess. Here’s why: 1. We agreed to the above market rate nearly £5k compared to £3k elsewhere on the basis that our items could be delivered by the end of July only to find out that that would never have been possible. It took a month for our items to transport between London and Berlin which is quite different to the sales pitch that we agreed to. 2. Sending me the invoice for the remaining balance took ages and in fact violated their own terms of carriage. I had to actively chase them to pay the outstanding balance as I wanted to avoid items being held longer than was already becoming the case. As a client, I should not have to manage the vendor. 3. Several items damaged in transit, including by water. Accidents happen and I took out insurance for that reason. All damage was documented in photos taken by myself and by the delivery team on arrival. The claims team offered a meagre amount for damages initially and I had to be quite forceful to recover the full amounts despite paying around £600 in insurance for all items. They did ultimately agree to full cover but the service along the way was and continues to be pretty resistant, spiteful and unhelpful. They simply don’t want to consider a claim or pay out even when the liability sits clearly with them. Detected some definite immaturity and pettiness in how they reneged on their position too. 4. Items were definitely stolen by one of the packers. When I reported this I was told that they’ve never had complaints before and I should raise with the police if I want to pursue further. I categorically know that items were “packed” by that specific mover only to then bizarrely disappear in transit never to arrive. Two items went missing, small but expensive under the remit of one packer. Santa Fe don’t seem willing to seriously investigate the allegation despite there being substantial evidence. Also, based on the many other people on here and Trustpilot who have had items go missing, it’s clearly not true that they’ve never had complaints. 5. They tried to add an additional €350 post-move for parking actual charge is €15 and for carrying items up an extra flight of stairs, despite the number of stairs being confirmed at point of sale and again pre-delivery. Push back hard on that and they accepted that only the €15 parking charge was applicable but it was very inappropriate to even try to proceed with additional costs. 6. Unclear accountabilities amongst the team throughout. It wasn’t clear who the point of contact was for several actions and I spent far too much time - in amongst the stress of immigration and other relocation items - trying to get more detail from the team. So a real shame. A lot of the delivery work was really good and there are some decent folks there but long-lasting impression is that they’re not organised, tend towards miserly and lack some integrity. There are for sure better companies out there who are going to be much more supportive, honest and helpful. I’d recommend you look elsewhere first before you choose Santa Fe.
Worst decision ever. I was promised my stuff will be sent from india to london in 2 months, 2 months now and my stuff has not even been shipped. I don't know where my personal belongings are, I don't have any information, and they will leave me in an empty house with a small baby. They are not replying to my emails since 2-3 weeks and I don’t know what to do, they don't really care. You endup expending money buying staff that you need because your personal belongings never arrive. I am so worried as some stuff was invaluable to me. Also they took so much of money from me and I have no clue what is going to happen. It is a FRAUD company don’t ever go with them
AVOID. Chasing this company for information once they have your payment is a full time job. We are due a rather large refund due to using less container space. I was told we would be refunded once our belongings arrived. They arrived in the UK in July but were kept in storage. After some more chasing and waiting for a response I was finally told that I would get the refund when they are delivered to my house. Almost 3.5 weeks later, I’m still chasing with no answers of when I’ll get my money back. The accounts department are ignoring me completely. Our belongings shipped from LA to London in one piece but dealing with this company has been an awful experience. I’d highly recommend looking elsewhere for a shipping company. Like others have said they outsource anyway they don’t have their own removals.
AVOID this company at all costs!! They make promises they don’t keep, they were very disorganised with my move from Berlin to Melbourne and they refused to refund me the cost of my shipping when it turned out to be less then what they quoted!! They literally acknowledged that my shipment was less than quoted and then they ignored my requests for a refund!! This company is dishonest and they will rip you off!! They use other moving companies and then charge you on top of those costs. You’re better off going to other shipping company’s because Santa Fe will use them anyway. They don’t have their own transport. Rachele and Anita were the representatives I dealt with a s they were both unprofessional and unhelpful. Worst company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with!!
Sanelo did our move from Rome to London in 2022. They were fantastic, I’m about to use them again to move some things from Sydney to London and saw the negative reviews Hopefully our next experience will be as seamless as the previous one…fingers crossed
I have moved internationally 6 times and this is the worst experience I have ever had. They were unresponsive, they were not solution oriented or driven in any sense, and after collecting all my belongings mid March, they finally told me after I chased and chased in mid July that they would get my goods to sea in September. I have colleagues that had their shipments arrive in a month - so it is clear that this company is a disastrous fraud, do not use them if you want supportive on time delivery with open communication
Never use Santa Fe relocation services France! I used them from Mexico to London and where you would expect professionalism and knowledge you end up with sheer incompetence throughout the shipping journey. Makes an already stressful move even more stressful! If you then try to complain about the incompetence management just reply that they can’t control delays even though your issue is not the delay! Horrendous level of customer service.
We used Santa Fe to relocate from London to Netherlands. Due to COVID we couldn't be there so Santa Fe did all the packing for us two person flat. Obviously bit uncomfortable to have strangers do the packing, but we did several shirt video calls when there were questions. Everything worked fine and within a morning two weeks later, everything was unpacked and packaging taken away. Not the cheapest option, but the result was worth it for us. So from my personal experience, I would recommend it to friends.
We paid over £20,000.00 to have our goods shipped from the USA to England. We had two nice mountain bikes stolen in transit and Santa Fe did not pay us for the full purchase price to replace them. Their claims department was unprofessional and uncaring that we had been robbed by their company. I would not recommend anyone use this company.
There are no words in the Google section that describe the terrible quality and experience. If you book Santa Fe you let burglars into house and invite them to go through your valuables things and steal them. We had to go through this painful experience and don't wish that on anyone.They stole our belongings and tried to sell us the idea that they were in other moving boxes that we hadn't unpacked yet. When we noticed that our Apple AirPods were tracked at Santa Fees office and after that in Pimlico, the situation was very clear. We confronted them and all of a sudden they showed up randomly at our place and dropped a box of belongings but obviously not the expensive things. We filed a police report but it is surreal that we paid a lot of money to a company to end up being robbed! Please avoid or report this company!
