Sandwell hospital as always been close to my heart as I worked for this trust for over 20 years. So recently i have had cause to visit the A/E dept on three seperate occasions within the last 3 weeks with my mum. In this age of complaining about our NHS I thought I would make the change and champion this hospital instead. My mother is 85 years if age and has many age relates illnesses but still manages to live independently with support from my sister and I. On each occasion she has presented at A/E she has been given excellent care and been treated with the utmost respect and compassion. Caring member of staff going that extra mile to give her and myself a cup of tea in triage. The gentle way they have dealt with her dislike of having her blood pressure taken, and the final diagnosis Chronic Limb Ischemia, has solved many riddles from the past 3 years. I cannot praise the receptionists, nurses, Doctors and imaging staff enough for your devotion to duty and my mum The NHS may be broken in many ways but as long as we have staff such as these there's hope. Well done and thank you Marguerite Anne Hodges
Very quiet and quick professional service. Building is old and a little tired though.
