Libraries are a dying breed but I spent a lot of my younger days here (before Amazon!) I think libraries in inner-cities (or housing estate in this case) deserve support. Shamefully they seem an easy target for every round of council cuts but at least Neath Port Talbot deserves kudos for their travelling libraries and their much improved modern building in the town center. This is a prefab building, urgently needed renovation, but still manages all the modern library amenities such as Internet access, computer use, plus DVD, audio and other media for borrowing. Like many my love of books started here and even if the digital age will eventually surpass such quaint pastimes as reading paper copies long live our libraries!
