Well, I love to write a long post about this restaurant. Me and my husband visited this restaurant yesterday. The ambience was nice and warm. I loved the way it's organised. I was wishing for a milk teachai which was not in list. But the people served a nice chai for me . We ordere a paneer tikka and spicy poppadam as starters and vegetable biryani as main course. Food was not too hot or cold. We could enjoy every bite of food and also they are ready to adjust the spice according to our taste. We also liked the way they accepted our view and loved their hospitality. Well I appreciate your sweet welcoming gesture and love towards preparing food for everyone when most of the staffs are fasting during the month of Ramdan. A must try place for Indian food!!
First time here in a few years. We stopped coming here a few years ago but I cannot remember why? Whatever the reason, it was great last night, so they must have fixed the issue that forced me to stop visiting? The lamb pathia was excellent. Service charge is included so be aware. Overall not badly priced. Staff polite and seating well spaced.
DON'T WASTE YOUR WELL EARNED MONEY. This was the worst indian meal I've had since the last time I had ordered from this restaurant. I might as well have taken my £60 and thrown it down the drain along with the chef's recipe book. The chicken Tikka masala is a fake, precooked chicken and a pre made sauce then added together is a complete and utter insult to Indian cuisine. The garlic nan had the same consistency as a frisby. I might as well had been eating cardboard as it had absolutely NO flavour or seasoning to speak of. I should have followed my gut instinct and chosen another restaurant locally to Cheam Village but, I thought surely they must have changed in the past few years but, alas no. How they manage to remain in business and call themselves an Indian restaurant should in itself be a good idea for an Agatha Christie novel as it's a complete mystery. The 1 star I've given is for the delivery driver only. The next time I want Indian food locally I'll order a Charlie Bingham ready meal, at least you know what your getting and it tastes good.
Had a lovely curry here this evening and not only was the food lovely but the service was outstanding which goes a long way for me. Highly recommend and I will be going back and bringing more friends with me.
Beautiful restaurant and great atmosphere. Food was good quality and very tasty. My son love the chicken korma! Thank you so much.
Excellent service fantastic food. I would advice anyone to try this Indian restaurant. young lad who served us was totally professional and helped us the large selection on the menu understand the cuisine. It was definitely worth visiting to Samsara.
A really nice place for authentic tasty Indian food. We had a gala time. The food was delicious. The manager very friendly and service professional. We had a three course meal with various starters, biryani and goan prawn curry for mains and pudding and kulfi for deserts with masala tea and coffee. All the dishes were made to taste, generous portions and with personal care. We also had few delicious cocktails while waiting for starters. I would highly recommend the place if you are looking for a nice clean place for family dine out with friendly professional service.
Ate there a couple of weeks ago. I had bad food poisoning afterwards. Will not be dining there again!
The food is no where close to being Indian. The service was poor, we arrived at 7:30 and got our main course at 9:15. Highly overpriced for the quality of food they serve. If you are looking for authentic Indian food, please do yourself a favour and stay away of this place The place has Bangladesi chef and perhaps the owner as well. So I am not surprised that the food was very sad and not really Indian food as such. The reply from the owner shows his hospitality and level of rudeness!!. I am not racist in anyway, just trying to tell people that this place is not an authentic Indian restaurant and doesn’t serve authentic Indian food. The service was very poor and no matter which restaurant it is or run by whoever, that doesn’t change that fact. We had to practically wait for 2 hours for our food. By the way I will be crazy to come back to such a place ever again!
I ordered a takeaway for delivery through Deliveroo. Order was placed around 7pm and immediately accepted and my order was ‘being prepared’. After two hours my order was still ‘being prepared’ and multiple riders had arrived to pick up my order from the restaurant and then left again as it was not ready according to Deliveroo customer services. All of this would have been just about alright seeing as it was a Saturday night if the restaurant had just picked up their phone to my calls I tried 15 times but it just rang and rang each time so we had no idea what was going on. Tried to cancel through Deliveroo app but was told I’d still be charged as they’d already started preparing it. Eventually we gave up and cooked our own dinner and had just finished eating when the takeaway arrived ‍ Incredibly frustrating as it really was absolutely delicious and I would have loved to have been able to both recommend it, and order from there again. However a 2.5 hour wait with no communication whatsoever is absolutely unacceptable. I should also point out that our order was 2 curries, one rice and 2 naan. It was a very small and simple order as well! As I say, a real shame as it was extremely tasty but we won’t be risking a repeat of this so won’t be trying again. I’d love to know what had happened- whether they were just extremely busy or if our ticket had got lost ‍
