Story

It’s been quite a journey.

Since Salop Leisure started out in 1966, the world of caravans has seen some changes, the fashion for Motorhomes had barely made it out of Iowa and family holidays often meant a bed and breakfast in a fast-fading seaside town. (Oh, and someone won a World Cup).

One thing hasn’t changed though; our customers still buy from us for the same reason they did back then – independence. And that’s what a motorhome, caravan, or luxury lodge means, it means your own place, the way you want, exactly where you want.

It means memories and adventures, it means doing things your way and having the freedom to explore. Finding that freedom was where we began, and it’s still the most important thing we do.

The largest caravan dealership in the Midlands:

As the world of caravans has grown, and as caravans have grown more sophisticated, Salop Leisure has grown too, becoming one of the largest dealerships in the Midlands. The service we offer is still the same personal one, (we’re the only dealer in the UK open seven days a week) but we now have three locations in Wales and the Midlands. Not only does that mean you’ve a great chance of finding just what you’ve set your heart on, but that you can make comparisons, see the space inside for yourself - even bounce on the beds if you want to.

At Machynlleth, you’ll find over 50 new and pre-owned holiday homes, an indoor showroom and a large selection of caravan and camping equipment. At Stourport, there are over 30 new holiday homes, whilst at our Shrewsbury head office not only are there more than 200 new and pre-owned caravan holiday homes, luxury lodges, touring caravans and motorhomes - but full stay-the-night facilities for our touring customers too.

Then, when you’ve made your choice, we’ll support you in the years ahead. Our team of fully-trained holiday home service engineers know every caravan and motor home inside out, our fully equipped service centre can deal with every repair and we carry a huge stock of spares to make sure you’re up and running again as soon as possible. We can service gas appliances, make sure your home is safe, carry out damp tests, provide insurance estimates, check your connections and take care of those all-important winter drain downs. In fact, if it’s to do with holiday homes, we can do it.
