I had a great time living here. It was a safe and secure building with security 247 and the Salford Uni campus was only a short walk a way. There was a Spar, Subway & Gregg’s next door too. Staff were approachable if you had any issues and they always went out of their way to organise events and get people involved. I would definitely recommend.
First impressions are good overall. The WiFi is a bit of a hassel registering every device by Mac Adress but it is very fast. Rooms a good size with a roomy workspace and a decent 3/4 size bed although the mattress is a little too firm for my liking but not a deal breaker. Staff and roommates are polite and friendly. The kitchen offers everything you want plus a comfy sofa and TV in the communal area to chill out. And a nice touch of chalkboards for any reason you want to notice something also the notice pin board in the room will be handy for keeping organised as I struggle.
Absolutely a waste of money. Don’t live here. Kitchens are disgusting and when you complain nothing is done about it. The kitchens are so bad they end up with rats. Save your money and your health and find somewhere else.
A commercial organised accommodation for students. From our previous experience with university owned accommodation, this was of a much higher standard of accommodation, with gym on site and clean tidy room and good security on site.
Having lived here for two years away from home and through a pandemic, I will never forget how much this place felt like home. The staff have always been so helpful and caring and throughout the pandemic, offered continuous ways to support me. Not only did living here make university so much more enjoyable, but living here gave me so many memories that I never thought I would be able to make when being so far away from my home country. Can't recommend iQ any higher!
I've lived here for the past 2 years and I've loved every minute! The rooms/ kitchens are modern and well furnished. The social hub and gym are a great addition, along with parties held on occasion. Also the IQ staff are very friendly and welcoming. The accommodation is very close to uni and only a short bus ride into town/ media city. There's also shops, take-aways and a post office just around the corner. I would 100% recommend living here, as you will make many great memories!
I've been living here for a year. Rooms have enough space but the walls and doors are anything but soundproof. I can hear my flatmates playing video games at 5 o'clock in the morning, while I have to wake up at 7. Staff is friendly and helpful sometimes. Everything in the kitchen is from cheap materials plastic . The shower is just a joke, gets dirty easily and the shower curtain is not helping at all. There is not enough space in the fridge and in the cupboards for 6 people. My body hurts from this broken and old mattress, which has not been changed since last year. I am not gonna mention the washing machines, because they are just there as decoration. This place is a joke. £6.2K down the drain. Wouldn't recommend this place. Don't make the same mistake I've made twice. Can't wait to say goodbye to this place.
Lived here for two years, and staying for a third. It's a secure friendly student accommodation with good facilities that's close to uni, but not so close that you feel like you spend all your time there. Got a Spar, Subway and Greggs right next door, and buses into Manchester from just up the road. The staff are great, and they put on events for residents so it feels really social. Really enjoyed living here.
I've lived in IQ for two years and wish I could never leave! It is safe and secure with very good thorough security. The site is beautifully clean and modern, with great facilities such as the social hub, brand new gym, washing machines and a pool table - as well as a great and simple postal service for when you have parcels! The staff go above and beyond their jobs, catering for the needs of every student and providing an active and personal and very friendly! service. The kitchen is very spacious and modern with an LG TV, and the rooms are in a great condition with all the storage you would need and plenty of space for all your stuff. Maintaince for your flat is always quick and efficient, and it is always very warm in the winter if you need it to be! IQ also offer lots of social events and little extras throughout the year which is always a bonus. IQ is also right next to a Spar, Subway, Greggs and a cash point and a short walk from a Post Office, a 10 minute walk to uni and Salford Crescent Station and all the buses that can take you straight into town in 5 minutes or less. Living at IQ has been such a brilliant experience! I've had such fun here, met friends for life and had a lovely place to live in all at the same time.
The rooms are practical, colourful and easy to make feel like home. The staff are lovely, always willing to help and often organise events to bring the accommodation together. The security on site make you feel safe and are always happy to try and help with any issues when they're on duty. Overall i would recommend the iQ for any students looking for nice, affordable accommodation:
