Fine if you know where to find what you need but I stood at the 'Customer Service' desk in full obvious view of staff and didn't get any service at all.

Also has no Japanese section which every other Sainsbury's I've been to has. Bizarre.

This particular supermarket has a varied large stock of most items that you wish to obtain and has all of the Branded products.
Therefore there is no disappointment with items not on the shopping list.
Friendly assistance from staff that are young to older.
Atmosphere is ok with large isles, however the ambience is a little eye adjusting.
The major downfall is the fact that this store along with most shops and supermarkets these days there is of course a security guard that although is doing there job can't help but think they are from a secret service like MI5. What gets to me is the fact that as soon as I walk into the main doors I feel like I am being WATCHED and closely observed in anything and everything I'm doing, almost Asif I am a criminal and am plotting an armed army of robbers to smash and grab and detonation of a handful of grenades.
It P***** me off so much that 9 out of 10 establishments that I would frequent I now don't.

All I am doing is buying a 🍌 banana.
I'm not too keen on having lenses zooming in and out of my bunch of 🍌 bananas.
It's nice to be appreciated all the same.

This is my review of Sainsbury's in Bitterne (not the other one, but the one over there near that place that's another place owned by gainsburys.).

Store staff very helpful and friendly.  Not bad for a local store, it dates back to the 1960's so it's getting a bit dated.  About time Sainsbury's built their new store that combines to two stores they have in Bitterne.

This is a decent sainsburys, the other one in Bitterne sells food, this one sells clothes, household goods, medicines and other non food products, it's a good place to shop for bedding and kids clothes, we have bought bedding sets and a duvet from there before as well as plates and cutlery, the layout of the store is pretty straight forward, clothes straight ahead and covering the right hand side of the store, then plates, kitchen wares working left towards the pharmacy area.
