Quite disappointed that a major supermarket has no branches near enough to deliver to us. I only rated it here because the app asked for it.nI spent time making an account ready to order online, only to find out they won’t deliver to Aberystwyth.nI’m disabled and i don’t drive so we rely on online shopping.nMorrisons stock levels are always poor, so key supplies are often unavailable. Tesco are better but i’m not as keen on their bread and meat.nI wanted to try Sainsburys as i regularly shopped there before we moved into this bungalow. Unfortunately i can’t because they don’t deliver here.
Only a small Sainsbury's but always seems to be well stocked. Car park is pay and display unless displaying a disabled blue badge. However ticket is refundable once done your shopping in Sainsbury's. No customer toilets but has public toilets on edge of car park.nNot often many staff on tills, seems they rely on self service checkouts although the kiosk is often staffed.nClean and tidy store. Shopping trolleys always available and not left all around the car park as they require a coin to release. There is no other trolley parks within the car park area so this could be inconvenient for disabled customers or even customers having to park on the far side of the car park.
In general has a good choice and sainsburies are not using the bovaer additive which is good. The staff are a bit odd and patronising, but they are normally quite helpful if you can get one to talk to you. They are always happy to open a checkout for me if I need them to as I don't like the automated tills. Only thing is lack of choice in terms of they rarely have minced lamb for example, and they seem to vary their freezer selection all the time so you go in for something you got before and it's not there. However better than Coop with its terrible music blaring and expensive lack of choices
I’m incredibly disappointed with my family's experience at the Lampeter Sainsbury’s car park. While my wife was still in the vehicle with our children and her elderly mother, a traffic warden issued a ticket. She wasn’t leaving the car unattended; she was simply managing the children and supporting her mother. Penalising families in this way is heavy-handed and completely unnecessary.nnIt makes no difference to customers whether the car park is technically council-run or not; it's directly attached to Sainsbury’s and, for all practical purposes, forms part of the shopping experience. If the customer journey ends with unfair ticketing, that damage is to Sainsbury’s reputation, not just the council’s.nnTo make matters worse, Sainsbury’s recently removed all the dedicated family spaces that once made visits manageable for parents with young children. Families now face the double difficulty of unsafe, unsuitable parking and the risk of being ticketed even while they remain in the car. This is neither family-friendly nor customer-focused.nnWe have been regular shoppers here, but this sort of treatment makes us seriously question whether Sainsbury’s values its customers. Until the store steps up, works with the council to ensure reasonable enforcement, and reinstates proper family-friendly parking, we cannot recommend this site.
