I rarely take time out to talk about places other than food outlets...but this is an exception.nnThis is clearly an under-investment by Sainsbury's...no tills, so you look for self-checkout which has a line twice as long and 1 staff member dealing with the normal self checkout challenges, even those who had scanned thier items as they shop couldn't use the tills dedicated to them as they were out of use.nnTried to speak to the manager, but was told he was somewhere and service staff fumbled up an excuse. This is the last time I go here, rather walk 5mins and use Iceland or drive 5mins and be at Tesco in Barking.nnI am sure staff are trying thier best, but if customer service and help at checkouts is poor/checkout is not available, then it's pointless - a customer wants to pick up the goods and pay, it's a simple task, for a weekday night and I would start with that.
Worst service I ever received in any Sainsbury's i ever been.nI was just in Sainsbury's Ilford. I wanted to use my nectar card, but I have the code only. I don't have the app or physical card. Every time I came i asked for help and typed the nectar card number. Today I asked for help and this women at the self checkouts didn't want to help me. I said I can type in the number and I need your help to do so. She kept telling me that I need to have my card and she was wrong as in I used my number, typed my number every time. She then went away and ignored me, when I needed her help to use a voucher as well. I never used a voucher before. I asked politely, can you please help me and she ignored me 3 times. This is the worst service I ever received. I think the store or manager should do something. This lady is short and has a dark hair.nnDate of experience: 17 November 2024
Really affordable prices and great business hours. The only negative is you don’t get to see more staff on the floor so you have to either chase them for minutes to ask anything or simply give up the product hunting.
It's always terrible service.nThe staff don't want to be there, they're always understaffed and under informed e.g. If you ask them a question about where to find a item they say they don't know and that it's not their section.nEven though it's a large store they are no toilets.nI'd avoid if possible.
If i could zero stars i would. Tried to use my Pampers vouchers and the staff were not helpful at all. The vouchers would not work and they accused me of having already used the vouchers and attempting to scam them and use again. This is not the case at all. The staff member just kept shrugging her shoulders and eventually only called the manager after i requested. The superviser Tanya then stood to the side and chatted amicably with her colleagues whilst ignoring me. Bear in mind I am currently 38 weeks pregnant. Eventually i gave up as I needed to collect my 4 year daughter from nursery.
