Great selection and friendly staff. Was a 5 star untilnHowever after doing a shop and in no way made clear, I’ve received a fine for parking there.nUnacceptable!nWill not be using them again!!!
As visitor's we pulled into the carpark and went in to get a few bits. Unfortunately we didn't notice the signs saying we had to spend £10 and register our receipt. We drove out, and only noticed the next day when we visited the machines and people scanning their receipts. We went in to speak to customers services who were very rude and informed us we would be receiving an £85 fine through the post. It was a genuine mistake. We have never had to worry about parking in supermarket carparks back home or anywhere else we have visited Definitely will not be returning!
Deceptive almost criminal car parking signage and policy. They will fine you, turn their backs then lose you as a customer for life , they don’t care though. Hope they end up closing sooner rather than later!
I visited the store today in order to do my weekly shop with my newborn. Firstly I fed him at the coffee shop just up from the store because I didn’t want him screaming in the store, and they don’t have a coffee shop of their own. When I then went to shop, I needed to use the scan and shop because I couldn’t push the buggy and a trolley I was of course logged out of my app which I couldn’t remember the password for. After 15 minutes of trying to work it out I finally got in. Wandering round the clothing as they had 25% off and also doing my weekly shop. I left the alcohol behind because it’s now all locked up in case us innocent people might steal it. I done the self checkout as I said above and of course they were busy checking others shopping but I needed my till cleared as I bought something that was for over 18s. I then had to prove I wasn’t a thief to get out of the shop, then as I was leaving all the alarms started going off because I dared to buy some comfy mum pyjamas. Of course, because I wasn’t a thief I was now locked out of the checkouts and couldn’t get back in to get my pyjamas cleared off so they didn’t beep as I was going out. However, no one would answer my cries for help because they were busy going piece by piece through 3 peoples shopping to prove they weren’t thieves. Knowing my time was soon up in the carpark I was trying to get back into the shop but there was a 10 person deep queue to get to customer service. By the time I got back to the ticket point it said I had now gone over my shopping by 15 minutes - despite having spent £80 in store I now know I am going to face a huge fine. What on earth has the world come to, I think I’ll spend my money in Aldi where it would have cost me half the price, would let me leave with my dignity in tact without causing me of being a thief at every turn and finally won’t fine me for their own incompetence and lack of ability to provide enough staff in the store to help with their car park issues.
R parking fees! Will never shop at any Sainsbury’s again in my life and will advise other to avoid like the plague!nn£155 parking charge for forgetting to scan my receipt which was never indicated by staff. I provided proof I shopped in Sainsbury’s to appeal and was meet by rudeness.nnSainsbury’s should be disgusted by this treated of loyal customers.
