I'm extremely disappointed. As a father of a young one, sometimes convenience takes precedent. On this occasion, after using Sainsbury's, spending over the required £10, and navigating out of the store juggling shopping and the little one, I completely forgot to validate the parking. Soon thereafter receiving a hefty fine. I will, of course, pay for it, as I'm a conscientious citizen, but where is the humanity in this situation? There doesn't seem to be a logical appeal system. It wouldn't take much investigation to see I visited the store, and the transaction is evident on bank details. I implore Sainsbury to work more closely with the public and this Car Park Company, who appear to totally disregard the plight of the common man... and daughter in this case! What a caring society and community we are raising our children in!
Food is better quality and they have a good selection of items, but it's all over priced compared to other supermarkets.nnAlso pretty jaded that I got a rip off parking fine after they changed the parking rules recently, reverting to where you need to get handed a voucher which you need to scan on a machine to prove you spent £10..nnUsed to park there for quick access to shops and the pop in and buy groceries on the way back. Will actively park elsewhere now, guess we both lose.
Fined because I collected an item from Argos, and euro car parks said I should pay the sainsburys parking fee for a shared car park amongst all the local businesses. Even though, Argos don’t give you a receipt and there’s no signage to say that if you collect a purchase from Argos, you are now forced to purchase from sainsburys as well so you can validate a ticket on a shared retail car park.
They should be changing who manage the car park but most of all just make up your mind already! things have changed so many times over the past 8 years! I got a fine because I didn't pay the parking £50 for just 10 minutes over the free 30 minutes but you didn't have to pay until not long ago when the machines were not actually working but I hadn't been there for a while and didn't know things changed!. Until COVID It used to be 30 minutes free then you had to spend £10 to get 2 hours for free and you had to validate your ticket at the tills a lot of people used to complain and barriers sometimes didn't open! then at some point you just had to scan the receipt at the machines and then nothing, you could just park there. and now it's back again to 30 minutes free and the only sign there is inside the shop! PLUS there are NO barriers so even if you forget you can get out and you'll realise when you get the fine! this is a scam! you should have CLEAR sign in the car park and just put a bloody camera that reads your plate number as many other car parks do. I hope Aldi opens soon! On top of that the temperature inside is bloody low because all fridges are open. which is bad for people coming in during hot weather as the difference in temperature can create pressure problems and for those working there all day. It's also really bad for energy saving and environment. Get those fridges that you can close and become environmentally friendly!
It's quite a big supermarket and has almost all the suff for home, kitchen, bathroom, food, bakery. I found the quality of things too good and price really economical. The car parking space is nice. Also, lot of lovely trees with colorful leaves are there outside it.
