Too few cashiers on check outs. Not everyone wants to self serve. I refuse as it puts people out of jobs or limits amount of staff that could be employed. Also some check assistants are to fast and you don't have time to pack properly so soft things don't get squashed
Went in to buy a sandwich. The one I wanted was on the top shelf right at the back. At my feet, was a kickstep. I stood on it to get the sandwich only to have a member of staff run over telling me it was illegal to use the step. I told her that no-one had briefed me at the door. What was I to do? She said that I would have to call over a staff member. But usually there are no staff anywhere near. I left without buying anything vowing never to go back. Felt so humiliated. Horrendous experience.
Allways a good experience , nice supermarket , plenty parking spaces, good offers
Absolute mess of a store. Randomly introduced coin operated trolleys which were not the case on prior visits. Popped over to customer services looking to exchange change for a pound coin... when I got there, I was the only person waiting and was clearly in discomfort standing. Customer's issue was resolved but while they had a nice little gossip a queue built up for cigarettes so I got ignored not even acknowledged. Strongly advise asda, aldi or Iceland instead if you're shopping in the area. They'll serve you in order.
Great place to shop but have kept the doors the same since covid so disabled people have to go out the far door but the disabled parking is round the other side so we have to walk back around to parking which isn't ideal.
If there were a competition for Dewsbury’s friendliest supermarket Sainsbury’s would definitely win it. On every occasion when I go there staff are super helpful, smiley and polite…..especially the pink haired lady. There’s also a lot of good deals when using the nectar card …..some big discounts to be had. When shopping for less expensive brands I also find it cheaper than Lidl and Asda. Stamford Street spaghetti at 56p Kg is ridiculously cheap…….and is equally as good as some of the more expensive brands
Good selection of different food stuff also if you need anything like clothes it's there all in one store prices are reasonable.
This is a review for the iSnaps photo booth within this Sainsbury's. My photos came out way over exposed and unusable. Complete waste of 10 pounds.
Have to have my Sainsbury’s food shop delivered from here unfortunately: been trying to change to Wakefield but Sainsbury’s won’t allow it. Never have anything in stock, always receive near out of date items. Just really want my food shop to come from a different store :
A good selection of items, pity the clothes range for men is quite limited
