The store is well-maintained, the staff are friendly, and the selection of products is impressive. I particularly appreciate the new one-way entry and exit system, which has made shopping more efficient. Overall, I highly recommend Asda Dewsbury.
Superstore is open till 00.00 at 6pm no tills open except self service. I’ve asked several staff members to open the till for me unfortunately no one was interested to help. Full trolley of shopping had to go to self service checkout, shopping didnt fitt there were falling in the floor, lost lot of time scanning all the items and waiting for assistance because of age restricted items. Im shopping there to save time, bad experience today
went Friday evening at 8.15pm cages and pallets everywhere stocking up for the next day Saturday which is fine but what about health and safety I saw a 5 year little boy trip over a cage and fall, the boy hurt himself the staff who was stocking the shelf didn't move the cage, u asked him to move the cage to the side 3 times then he finally moved the cage saying where else shall I put it, I asked his name twice he then replied its Sajad, well done salad and asda having no pity on a 5 year old boy!!
Asda collections machine had a delay notice on it saying it will take around 20mins. The collection link sent to my phone wasn't working either, so I am not very pleased. The staff member at checkout was busy chatting to a customer after scanning everything for 5mins whilst we queued up. The visit wasn't great and a lot of their product prices are ridiculous.
Didnt have a pound coin, was Refused a trolley by 5 members of staff who all said they were not allowed to release a trolley. Three laps of the carpark to find a space in the rain. Then be refused a trolley and treated like a trolley thief - went home without our weekly family shop. Will be visiting another supermarket instead - absolute shambles and it feels overcrowded and hectic here anyway. Moving to Tesco/Aldi for main shop- will only come back for emergencies. Not putting myself through that again.
Cheaper than sainsbury, great asda brands, everytime i show a receipt for scanned and paid razorblades in my general shopping i never get the receipt back? Security guards are often seen chatting up staff, maybe they rely on others to do their job? Customers have to wait too long on the self scanners, in the evening to get help, the jetwash is now £3.00 rip off, never opens on time when it says online, open!!!!!
Overcharged at the self service petrol station. A rip off! Price on the board 1.37.7 per litre but when I checked on the pump screen and I have paid 1.49.7. A difference of 12p per litre. I thought Asda petrol is the cheapest in the town but I didn’t know this how Asda ripping thier customers off. Beware when you get your petrol from Asda!
I did like shopping at Asda , but in the last couple of years it has not been a nice place to shop , they keep moving isles around , items are just randomly placed every where The self check outs are a joke , evening staff at the self checkout are just stood about talking to each other and ignoring customers , I’m not surprised ppl walk out without paying ! I was stood there for about 20 mins 4 of them just stood gossiping , just ignored me it wasn’t even busy at that time then when he finally came over wasn’t very help full just mumbled something and swiped his staff card to the screen and happily went back to chatting up other staff members who are usually stood around giggling
It’s got some good Asda elements like the sushi bar. The store feels really claustrophobic though - aisles are too narrow and too many areas where everyone gets in a jam, such as when you come in through the entrance or move towards the tills. Despite the store cramming in so many aisles there’s an incredibly small toy selection. Some issues like freezer section covered in ice, and mispriced items such as the chewing gum by the self serve checkout where the same product is priced £1 in one stand and £2.20 in another when scanned it was £1 - it should never have been £2.20, that’s a rip-off
Absolutely disgraceful store.Does this store not realise there is not just a Muslim community that use this store.Every 5 minutes over the tannoy were vocal notifications about Ramadan. I was in this store for over one hour and not one mention about Easter.Bordering on being racist Asda. Then at the till long long queues for just 3 till.Shocking store.I will never use this store again.
