An absolute joke of a supermarket. Sold me ready made baby formula Hipp 6pck which was a MONTH out of date! Luckily, I noticed it just as my daughter was about to drink from it. All tills CLOSED at 6pm on a weekday evening - so anyone like me who had a trolley full of stuff, had to self-scan all of it, which took so much longer. They refused to get anyone on the tills to properly serve their customers. Abysmal that this is what we're coming to.
As I’m a disabled customer I’ve come into the store twice now. I wanted to use the in store mobility scooters but got told they have lost the keys. Not good enough
Big shop, fully stocked. From food to Argos essentials you're covered Good selection of booze and a lindt aisle. Fill your own box
This has to be the worst Sainsburys I have every been to. I went there on the 2nd of July 2024 at 7pm. There was one person on the self checkouts! There wasn't any manned tills open!! We couldn't get a voucher for our petrol so we had to go to customer services and the only assistant didn't know how to give us the voucher. Apparently the manager was busy sorting out uber eats!!!!and they were short staffed. If there was a minus I would have given this store it.
So many lines out of stock. The fruit and veg section is always dire. Lots of promotions missing shelf edge labels so didn't even bother with them.
I’ve been a loyal customer for 15 years, but the decline in the past year is alarming. The constant till reshuffling is confusing, and trolley availability is consistently poor due to neglect in the car park. The loss of the pharmacy was a significant setback. The dated decor and worn-out flooring urgently need an update. Empty shelves, particularly in the produce section, are a recurring issue. The café, once a pleasant amenity, now offers a limited and unappealing range. The store layout has become increasingly disorienting, exacerbated by the pharmacy’s closure. Overall, this store requires significant investment, and Sainsbury’s must address these supply chain issues urgently.
Seems depressed since COVID. We used to shop there quite often, now it seems grey, and things such as meat and deli counter are no longer there. Less service and less light.
Sainsbury's Broadcut petrol station. Purchased 2 cheese and onion rolls 23.3.24. Took them home and ate them and then realised the use by date of 20.3.24. Emailed a complaint to them and got a response that they would be in contact within 3 days. Nothing happened and so I rang. I was told this would be dealt with internally and I was not getting a response. Told that I could have a refund, then a five pound gift card. I said you have sold unsafe food which is illegal and a criminal office, You cannot sell unsafe food. So that was it. I hope it goes to court, sweeping something under the carpet is wrong. Not replying to a complaint is also wrong. FBC visited them and the manager of the petrol station showed them a daily food check chart all signed up to date and the manager checks this weekly. So for 3 days no staff member noticed the 2 cheese and onion rolls, but signed that they had checked. That is 3 people noticing for 3 days, that something was out of date! So nothing has happened. 3 staff members wrongly signed a chart saying that they have checked all the dates of food in the chiller and then selling the item on the 3rd day! Nothing wrong then Sainbury's. Your staff can't be relied on to check the dates of food and they will sign anything that they have done it when they had not. Don't trust Sainsbury's people
As you'd expect, good prices and enough stuff. To quote Stephen Fry "God bless Sainsbury's, keeping the poor people out of Waitrose"
The most shocking store and customer service. Yet again our click and collect order from this store has not been picked and cancelled! Email advising yet another faluire by them, sent 40 minutes after the collection was due to take place. Customer service is a term they do not understand, the contact centre were totally unhelpful. Never will we ever shop at Sainsbury's ever again.
