The manager Tracey in the home delivery department is amazing! I spent over an hour with the customer service team who were super unhelpful and when I eventually got through to Tracey she was excellent. Tracey followed through on what she said she was going to do and genuinely wanted to help. Thank you so much Tracey. First class customer service. Give Tracey and pay rise!
Bought 2 items today, a bakery multipack and a bottle of laundry detergent on special offer. Used self checkouts, liquid detergent came up at incorrect price so cancelled item. Waited for authorisation but 3 workers, standing between the basket and trolley self checkout area were busy chatting and obviously not watching the red/orange lights going on. Waited and when obviously nothing was happening, cancelled the whole transaction, moved to the opposite till, put the bakery item through with no problem. Then and only then did a lady come to look at the original till. We said it was us that was there she quite curtly said ' you shouldn't have moved checkouts' we explained we had waited but she and her colleagues were busy talking. In no uncertain terms and in quite a confrontational tone she said 'That's because I'm on my own on these tills and we were discussing what we could do and you should have waited'. What she should have been doing is her job and maintaining a polite and exactly level of customer services to people who are using the store. If she has a manning problem then on the floor is not the time to address this and to be so rude is totally inexcusable. An apology for keeping a customer waiting was needed but no such luck there. Reading other reviews I feel this is the standard in Asda Fareham these days, I don't often go there and will be definitely not being going back! Happy to help she had on her back, happy to stand there and not do the job she had been given! I wouldn't be surprised if she hasn't even addressed the incorrect pricing on that item either so people will still get ripped off if they don't check!
When it gets to the point where you leave a 1 star because the toilets stink so bad and you have told them about 10 times. It’s actually vile. Asda sort it out And sort out your pizza counter you can’t even get a custom pizza made and cooked because they are under staffed and even the staff are sick of it. Let me know when you have sorted this problem and I’ll change to a 5 star.
What an awful experience we had shopping here today. We were shopping for ourselves and an elderly relative to get some Easter eggs. We were at the till and had 12 eggs 6 for ourselves and 6 for our relative. We told that we could only have 6 per customer. We said that that's OK there is 2 of us and we are paying separately for them. I couldn't believe she actually called over 2 more members of staff to tell them what we were doing. Well the snide remarks that came after that I couldn't believe. Very disappointing behaviour from your staff. Maybe a bit more training o customer service wouldn't be a bad idea.
Update 28/10/2022. Sadly, Asda have jumped onto the same bandwagon as most supermarkets and have increased their prices in most cases from 20p to £1.50 per item in just over 2 weeks. I know things are difficult, but I believe these massive increases cannot be justified. As a result, having done a price check comparison we are now only buying 20% off our weekly shop from Asda compared to 90% last week. I can buy cheaper products at the same quality from Lidl. Sorry Asda but you here's one regular shopper that will buy elsewhere, as I'm now saving £40 weekly! I get my petrol from their onsite station because it is always the cheapest in a five mile radius of my home. We had for the past 11 years used Asda for at least 90% of our weekly shop. The store has a large range of goods for the home, clothing, music and DVDs, household appliances, magazines and newspapers, greetings cards and of course food. The staff are friendly and very helpfull. Some annoyances I have are that very often stock levels are either very low or out of stock completely. Sometimes, aisles are obstructed by groups of staff members moving stock to the front of the shelves which not only makes it difficult getting down the aisle but also to goods. They would achieve more if there was one staff member in each aisle facing up!
Absolutely shocking wait at the tills. 3 manned tills.....massive queues and nobody wants or likes self service. Seriously why should we have to scan our own items !! Would put me off going to Asda in the future. Asked a store colleague if they could open more tills....not at all interested
Shocking rules and customer service! tried buying my weekend beers but because my 14 year old sons were with me they asked my kids if they had I’d ? Really there 14 no they don’t . So refused me my shopping . So whenever we do our food shop we can’t buy alcohol because we have our kids with us ? What sort of rule is that . Won’t be using Asda again
My wife and I were treated like criminals by security person all she wanted to do was thrust a folder letter in my hand and staff over a loaf of bread not scanned using scan and go system. Complained strongly and got told I was banned for a year. Called the manager straight after the incident and explained everything and was promised a call back. As yet he has not had the courtesy to return my call. The ASDA Customer Compliant number puts you straight through to an Indian call centre. Will never use Asda again.
What's the point of having a modern slavery company statement when your own store makes delivery drivers wait 20- 30 minutes causing them to earn just £5 an hour...
Poor fruit and veg quality. Bought 2 days ago. Even dig down in the trays to find a newer pack. Mushy in the pack when I opened them for dinner tonight. Brown once cooked.
