Saigon Saigon
"A colonial background of China and then France, food of Vietnam was the first true fusion cuisine, blending the techniques and ingredients of France and Chinese culinary traditions - Vietnam has created a cuisine with a spirit and a flavour all its own.Our chefs refer to their cooking as “the nouvelle cuisine of Asia.” Our dishes rely on abundance of fresh herbs and vegetables, the use of contrasting flavours, varied textures, exotic ingredients, a minimal use of oil, and meat as a condiment rather then a main course - with all this combined, our cuisine is amongst the tastiest and healthiest.Saigon Saigon will provide you with all the pleasures of the Vietnamese table, a captivating taste of an irresistible cuisine."

Wonderful service and great food. The staff were lovely and extremely accommodating. We were so hungry and every other restaurant was closing, but the staff here were lifesaving!! Also, best egg fried rice in London!:
Nice atmosphere! Big dishes and immediately quick service. The staff was super friendly and they take cards all except American express Flavors where fresh and tasty.
It was our first time to Saigon Saigon and we were really pleased with the outcome! Tasty and authentic food and very kind service. Big fan of every dish, I will come again
This restaurant has been around for forever! The owner is friendly and the food was fairly fast. Appetiser of prawns wrapped around sugar cane was delicious. But I didn’t enjoy my vermicelli with chargrilled king prawns £13.50. I’ve had much better ones elsewhere. But for Chiswick/Hammersmith area, it was fine. Festive decor for the holiday season. You can book a separate area for a larger group also.
It was my first time at the Saigon and I'm pleased to say I had a great experience! I had duck skewers for starter and prawn&chiken noddles as main both very delicious and fulfilling!! Staff were very welcoming and nice!! Would return!!!Food: 5/5
Service: 4 stars out of 5 stars Food quality: 3 stars Food taste: 3 stars Environment: 4 stars Value: 4 stars Not the best pho I have had but overall an ok restaurant to go to. The noodle was too hard and not enough soup and soup was not hot enough. I have had items missing from the bowl as I was told they ran out of ingredients. The grilled pork rib tasted quite good and I like them. Shrimp Fried rice was too wet. The young waiter and waitress were very nice. Owner looked a bit intimidating but that's a typical and normal Asian tiger lady. Will go again for more grilled items to see if they are good.
Updated on 27 Nov 2022. Came back here with a friend and ordered a beef Pho and lemongrass beef bun noodles. They were okay, not bad but not outstanding either. The bun noodles lacked depth of flavour - a little more fresh herbs would elevate this dish. Good overall but not the best pho or bun noodles in town. Food is good overall but most are too salty.
Beautifully designed restaurant. The vibe inside felt very authentic and special. I found the members of staff professional, courteous and welcoming. As for the food, please see below my comments. Starters Vegetarian spring rolls with mushroom & tofu v 4.5/5 They served four crunchy spring rolls, which was a good amount and they tasted nice. Vietnamese spring rolls with chicken & prawns 3.5/5 They also served four spring rolls. However, they were smaller than the vegetarian ones. In addition, they had a funny taste given that there was a mix of chicken and prawns. I would have preferred to see them at least of a similar size of the vegetarian spring rolls and separate the chicken from the prawns to not have too much taste all at once. I was also informed that the chicken they serve is halal, which was a plus for my needs. Prawn Crackers 4/5 Delicious crackers with a strong prawn taste. They went down quite well when dipped in the sweet chili sauce. Mains Stir fried prawns with chilli, garlic & lemon grass 3.5/5 Good mix with the garlic, chili and lemon grass, which made it taste well. Yet, the skin of the prawns were not fully peeled off, meaning that a considerable amount of time had to be put for finishing the peeling process before eating the prawns. I have been to several Vietnamese restaurants in the past and none of them served half peeled skin. In addition, the dish tasted well but was quite high on the oil side. Spicy caramelised sea bass in clay pot 1/5 I would not order it again. Sides Egg fried rice with vegetables 3/5 Slightly on a bland side but quite close to decent. Steamed rice 5/5 It's very hard to go wrong with this and the rice was as expected.
5 stars and this is the first place that I wish I could give 10 stars. Where to start? The food is freshly cooked, full of balanced flavours, our party was 4 people, each chose a starter and a main, and we all shared. Everything was delicious and a wonderful discover of new flavours. The service is outstanding, highly professional and friendly. Having had visited other Vietnamese restaurants, I wasn't a fan, however this place has changed my mind.
Phenomenal food and friendly service! Deserving of 5 stars! I cannot recommend this wonderful restaurant enough. We were a group of 8 ranging from age 3-57 so we tried a lot of dishes and each one was just as fresh as the last. The pork #43 is possibly my favourite and the sizzling chicken #94. For starters, the spring rolls were delicious #2 as is the pork meatball with rice paper that you roll yourself #7. You basically can't go wrong so go along and enjoy the experience!
