The flavour and texture of the ice cream was absolutely wonderful. A friend recommended this to me when he knew I was in the area and I must say I wasn't disappointed. A no nonsense shop without any pointless commercial trappings serving the most delicious ice cream that I have ever tasted.

The only place to go for an ice cream in newlyn. The cues tell the story, fantastic owners, fantastic ice cream followed by a walk along the promenade. What more do you want.

My grandad lived near here, and so every holiday we would visit, and ice cream from Jelberts was a regular highlight. It's a world away from what you think of from vanilla ice cream, delicious, indulgent, and so fresh. How else could they still be selling just one flavour of one product year round for decades?! The only decision is whether to have clotted cream on the top or bottom. As a kid, I went without, much to my fathers disgust, but can highly recommend with as a topping. Be prepared for a long queue at busy times, but it moves quickly, so don't get put off.
