Ryedale Caravan & Leisure Ltd is Leicestershire's largest caravan and motorcaravan dealership, occupying a 2 acre site just north of Leicester.The site is well established for selling caravans, in fact, caravans have been sold from this site for more than forty years. The company is privately owned by Dave Steer, Andy Iliffe and Steve Morris. The three ‘hands on’ directors have a combined experience in the trade of over seventy years.

We recently part-exchanged our caravan for a new one, the sales process and handover all went smoothly. A week or so later we found a manufacturing defect in one of the roof panels. We contacted Ryedale, who asked us to bring it back for an appraisal. Ryedale worked with us to resolve the issue, we had the choice of a replacement caravan or refund. We accepted a replacement caravan and we cannot thank Dave Steer and the team at Ryedale enough for their help and professionalism during this process. We highly recommend this dealership.
Thank you to the team at Ryedale leisure today for for fitting us in to have our roof light replaced. The work was carried out extremely quickly while we waited, we we’re offered refreshments and the dogs even got biscuits. We stopped off to get the work carried out on our way back from a few days away. Doing this saved us an 80 mile round trip. Thank you
Just collected our third new caravan from Ryedale. The service we have had over the years puts some of the larger businesses to shame. Caravans DO sometimes go wrong they're hand built and get dragged up the motorway at 60mph! and it's when something goes wrong that you understand the true value of a good dealer. The whole team at Ryedale have always been professional and efficient both when buying, servicing and undertaking warranty work.
Never in all my years have I experienced such rudeness by the manager/ owner who refused to p/x our beautiful 2017 swift caravan . Supposedly because it had a side dinette. I wouldn’t of minded but they allowed us to view with a view to buying a far more expensive caravan . Obviously didn’t want to make any money which I find quite bizarre. Would not recommend them to anyone. !!!!
Enough is enough. It's over 18 months now since we bought our 2 year old caravan from Ryedale. It was an easy and pleasant experience to purchase and the salesman was excellent. However shortly after purchase we found one of the blinds broken. At purchase we were told we had a warranty and any problem would be sorted. That's where the good experience ended. Not only is our blind still broken, but there has never been any communication from Ryedale - and never any hope given when i ring them. In fact the woman i've spoken to on several occasions has been quite unhelpful and has now told me to contact Bailey myself. I'm struggling to find suitable words for the after sales service except 'useless and don't seem to care'. So we still have a broken blind 18 months later and Ryedale don't care. Will i buy another caravan from them? Let's just say i regret buying from Ryedale.
Nigel has been very helpful and thorough throughout the purchase of our new caravan. On arrival to collect, it was setup so we could see everything working and all our queries were resolved professionally. Paperwork was ready and completed ahead of time where practical. We would recommend Ryedale.
Have to say we had a great experience, had an idea of what we wanted and with the help of Nigel we found a great caravan and got a fantastic deal. No pressure left us alone when we need time just to sit in the caravans, but was there to answer all of our questions. The other members of staff were very polite and helpful to thanks also to Paul. See you all soon to pick her up and be our semi local store. Cheers guys
Wanted a small door latch for the camper, and they had the exact part. Great service.
Very mixed review, hence the three star. We had a fantastic service from Neil, the sales rep who did everything possible to help us and advise us due to this being our first caravan. He was patient, kind and nothing was too much trouble. The day we paid our deposit. Neil said he thought we would get 10% off in store. When we bought the caravan he went over to the store manager to double check this as he just started. The manager said in front of us that you get 10% off in store from collecting new caravan and he would give us a week after we've picked it up to honour the 10% for if we'd forgotten anything. Flash forward 2 weeks and we picked up our new caravan went to purchase the remaining things. Only to be told quite rudely by the female behind the desk that there was no 10% offered on awnings and gas. When I explained what we had been told when we bought the caravan she rolled her eyes and rang the the store manager put him on speaker where he completely backtracked what he'd said 2 weeks priorFeeling very annoyed. I said that's fine we will buy the awning online as Grantham caravans were offering 5% off and they stocked the awning we were looking for. I don't get why the manager backtracked what he had said when we paid our deposit because he knew that we were looking at buying the awning from them as he even helped my partner measure up the caravan so we knew what size we needed. After saying that we'd leave buying an awning off them plus the other things I needed totalling to nearly £1200. My partner said he needed a connector for the waist pipes at £4 he went and got what he wanted and I handed Neil the cash. This was when You're very rude and unprofessional member of staff came up to the till and sort of push aside Neil who is dealing with us and in a very condescending and sarcastic tone said " don't forget there 10% off" at this point I decided that your place would have no more money out of me. I kindly asked for my £4 back and left. Neil and another gentleman came up to see us before we left to apologise into say that they would speak to the manager of the store to try and resurrect it. Fast forward nearly a week and we haven't heard anything. I have now bought everything else I needed from Grantham caravans who will be doing all our servicing in the future and who's shop I would rather use then go to your establishment and be treated the way that we were. Like I said, this is a very bittersweet review because I cannot fault Neil the sales rep and he is an absolute credit to your store. It's just a massive shame that this one member of staff has completely tarnished our views of your store. And now you have lost customers that would have been happy to have used you for the duration of our caravanning experiences. the only reason I would give you three stars is because of your sales team who are a credit to the industry.
Do not ever buy anything from this business. Gave £13000 for a caravan in September 2022. Offered £7000 in June 2023 after being diagnosed with life limiting disease. Shame on you Ryedale. Old fashioned Shylocks!!!! DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE EVER!!! WILL BE POSTING EVERYWHERE TO STOP THESE PEOPLE. .
