Always very busy and hard to get into. I had a disabled permit, could see several empty disabled bays from the long line of cars, but couldn’t get into the car park as the waiting time was so long estimate about 25-20 minutes and wouldn’t have had time to get my disabled parent to the appointment on time.nnEnded up having to drop passenger off at main door, walk her very slowly in, find a wheelchair and leave her. Then go back out , park in an alternative car park and race back to the front of the hospital and take her to the appointment. All in all ended up taking about 45-50 minutes in total from first arriving at the car park entrance.nnMy advice? Avoid this car park if you can OR give yourself at least 60 minutes of contingency to get parked up and into the hospital!nnGreat hospital though!
Busy hospital but majority of staff are friendly and helpful. Loved the system of the outdoor carpark, it's busy but you're only allowed in when there's a space, saving time trying to drive around looking for a space thus money, paying and getting out of car park was very easy as well
Car park at main rvi entrance. Not many spaces and the road works on queen Victoria Road is one way and hardly any space to enter there. Wait times to get a space can be very long. You can use a pass or get a ticket I paid £4 for visits about 2 to 3 hours.
Ridiculous charges for parking is a slap in the face for patients and visitors.nFriend toom his mom in paid for 6 hours thinking it would be enough when he came out had a parking fine as he was 15 mins over
The carpark is especially great for those walking difficulties, wheelchairs and pushchairs. To start, let's hope you know which floor to park of to get to the right door for the disability lift, level 3 ok]which is next to the pay metre for parking on your return. It's a very, very small space, so it can be awkward trying to manoeuvre to the lift. Then you go as far as possible to get to the main corridor and be sure you know what floor you're aiming for as you will turn right or left when you sure at the very end. Happy planning!!!
