Enjoyed a leisurely stroll around the museum, all the wonderful art on display. I will defo gone back to explore it again. Called into the cafe whilst there and enjoyed a latte before heading home.
I had wanted to visit for years then found myself in the area and had such a wonderful time looking at the exhibitions, browsing the shop and also enjoying the cafe too!
From the time you enter its gates, the craft centre lives up to its name. Imaginative design and creativity can be found at every turn. The restaurant was closed for refurbishment at our visit, and one or two units, due to mid-week maybe, but still we spent over an hour with things to see and enjoy. Highly recommend.
Fantastic artisanship, fantastic exhibits, fantastic place. Wondrous designs and paintings by creative folk at the top of their game. If you are remotely interested in art and crafts, then this place should be a must on your list. Large free car park. Big modern building. Individual artist studios showcasing their works, though when I visited you could count on one hand how many were open. That was a plus in a way, otherwise I'd still be there now with my jaw on my feet! The works on display are powerful and inspirational. The largest area of exhibits to view was in the main gallery where the equally wonderful shop is. Lovely, friendly staff. Lots of art cards for sale too. When I visited, Jeremy Yates was exhibiting his brilliant and awesome paintings of mountains. Brought back some profound memories. Love this artist's works. I also loved Cleo Mussi's unique mosaics, intelligent, thought provoking and also with humour injected, which put a smile on my face. And as for the glassblowers Neil Wilkin and Rachael Woodman.... well, wow, blew me away. It is so uplifting to be able to see these fantastic creations. Ruthin Craft Centre is brilliant for Ruthin, a modern and well designed environment for sensational artists and just an utter joy to meander around. Blummin big bravo and wow from this reviewer who is for returning whenever I am in the vicinity. Oh, and Café R was super too!
Plenty of free parking. There is a variety of small shops but I only went to cafe. There was a small choice of freshly made food , clean tables and friendly staff. Plus, it's dog friendly.
Just called for a coffee which was really good, nice friendly staff and a very clean dining area, the food looked good, but i didn't eat, hence the 4 star rating,, will eat on my next visit, and will definitely be a 5 star

Loved this gallery and all the light and space. The shop was great with a lovely range of items at all prices. The cafe was exceptional!! Well done all involved!
