What a fantastic find! A must-visit. The lady serving me went out of her way to get me something to eat as the kitchen was closed. Their patisserie is absolutely fantastic. The best brownies, rocky road, and custard brioche are the best I have ever had. There is a secret garden equipped for children to play safely.
This was an unexpected find whilst travelling in the area. This place was an Alladins cave of furniture, ornaments, children's toys, BBQ equipment, flowers and gardening bits. It is more than a garden centre. The staff were friendly and helpful and some of the things they sold were quite different and quirky. They have a restaurant as well to add yet another feature to this unassuming place.
I bought a tree here last year and was pleased with the selection of plants available. However, last week I just wanted a few boxes of annuals - only to be told at the entrance door to the centre that all they had was what I could see outside there - virtually nothing but a very few half finished bits and pieces. We went up the road to another smaller nursery and bought everything I needed and more. Very few shortages there. This visit wasn't worth 4 stars but I know from experience that it is usually much better so I rated based on that. Good parking, lots of garden furniture for sale and a cafe.
We might have attended at the wrong time of year August. .. the restaurant was being overhauled it is a good place for food .. but there aren't many plants if any on sale , So not really a garden centre... but like I say we visited in August. There is plenty of house/garden furniture on sale, at reasonable prices..
A labyrinth of Aladdin’s Caves crammed with inspirational ideas for home and garden. Vast range of unique, quality items from full dining table & chair sets to book ends. Traditional Christmas theme currently throughout providing a lovely festive atmosphere and plenty of original gift ideas, including local produce, novelty items and Charity Christmas cards. Prices are competitive for the quality of goods on offer. The Cafe is delightful, with warm and welcoming staff. Menu choice offers a good selection with fresh ingredients and professional presentation. The coffee is fab. Reasonable selection of plants, although spent most of my time inside on this visit as so much to absorb! Well worth visiting again and again!
Amelia's Coffee Bar opened in September and is becoming a firm favourite. Lovely young staff, good atmosphere, Illy coffee and good food - their cakes are amazing, so hard to choose!
We visited the cafe, looked very nice. We ordered a 'posh ' cheese roll and 'posh' ham roll. We waited 20 minutes for these. They were far from posh. The half buttered roll had 3 lumps of cheese with a smear of pickle on the top. It was covered with a large amount of rocket and served with some lettuce and a small amount of coleslaw. Very disappointing for the cost of £10.00. We won't be returning.
Garden centre without being a garden centre, lots of outdoor furniture, jelly cats, greeting card section and unique indoor furniture plus bits and bobs. The cafe is very nice too, definitely worth calling in. Update: cafe was quiet mid Sunday lots of local events are on but food is still exceptionally good. Get in there and support them. Cycled from Itchenor ferry + the Salterns way is so good to cycle on and gets you to Chichester avoiding the main roads.
Great selection of garden furniture & nice Nik,naks, celebration cards, bbq for sale, soil, stones etc.....Just remember they are cashless, so card only...
Amazing Centre for gardening and furniture, café dining. Pleasant atmosphere lovely people. Great day out.
