I would put zero stars if I could but no option to do so here. I ordered a take away from Ruchi yesterday 15/10/22. The waiting time for the delivery was up to 1 hour 20 minutes which is only mentioned after placing the order online. It was a long wait but I decided to just accept it as everyone in the household wanted a curry and usually the food from Ruchi is good. I called Ruchi closer to the approximate time of delivery just to check if the order had been dispatched, the lady on the phone was so unhelpful, unsympathetic and really rude saying she doesn’t control the website or times so really with a “not my problem” attitude and zero customer service. When the food finally arrived, we had one of the items in the order missing, I called Ruchi straight away and the same lady with the same bad attitude answered and suggested I was lying regarding the missing item and then backing off and offering to send the item but in an hour ?. Obviously not a good option at this time so I wanted my money back instead. She said the manager needed to do any due refund so said the manager would call later, manager never called. I just phoned back and again was told the manager would call me today 16/10/22; same rude lady on the phone. I don’t know if and when I will receive a call back from the manager but still owed my money. To make matters worse, the food was not good. Standards of food and no customer service are truly awful, will not be ordering from Ruchi again, such a shame as used to be the best curry house in the area. Avoid!

Consistently brilliant. The quality, freshness and flavour of the food is the best you can get. I am Indian myself so know what a good curry should taste like and Ruchi delivers the best every time. The service is efficient and the whole team are super polite and want your experience to be the best and it always is. This doesn't surprise as it is led by Salim the owner who is a very genuine and very kind person with high expectations in serving the best food and service. I will always continue to come to Ruchi for my indian food. Ranjit

Edit: wait times continue to lower the rating of this place. Need to sort it out!!  The ruchi is a classic and the food is delicious. Recently the wait times have been ridiculous though which is why my stars are slightly lower. Told 45mins-1hour to collect but food wasn't ready until 1 hour 15 mins. Over Christmas I ordered the day before for a certain time and it was an hour late. Not okay, especially when you are stood in the cold waiting for a long time, no apologies either. Understand high demand but need to be more realistic with timeframes and better customer service. Shame as food is amazing!!

Ruchi… wow! Amazing and mouth watering. From the very first order we made until now, we’ve not been disappointed and won’t order from anywhere else! If there’s any queries the manager is superb and sorts it out straight away. We’ll be ordering many more chicken biryanis and tikka masalas! Portions are a great size and so delicious! The premises look very clean and nice on the eye every time I walk in to collect my food. Lovely lady at reception and of course the chefs. All great thank you very much

We cannot fault your amazing food! Unlike other takeaways yours was not floating in oil! The abundance of meat and flavour was exceptional! Thankful you’re very good and now our local curry takeaway.

Having not been in Maidenhead for some time, I had to visit Salim and the Ruchi for  a catch up.Had 2 takeaways- 1 on arrival with family and bought 1 home. Both were excellent and considerable in size and quality. Everywhere has its moments but Salim and Josh strive to make all their customers happy a do pretty good job! Well done!

This is one of the best I've tried and I've tried a lot all over the UK as a touring musician. The food has a depth of flavour that leaves me wondering how on earth anything can taste so good and unlike far too many other places, the food isn't too sweet. The lamb is melt in the mouth tender and really tastes like a great quality tasty cut. All the veg  is lovely and fresh and not over cooked. The prices are also very reasonable. If you haven't tried it yet, do yourself a favour and eat some of there food ASAP!

I've only used this Takeaway once and I'm sorry to say I wasn't  too happy with my meal. Having said that, it is only fair to say that no two restaurants or takeaways will use the same ingedients. This is not to say others wouldn't  enjoy the food as taste is very personal. I met with a very polite and courteous man. The food packaging was very good. I'll will try another dish, to be able to give fair assessment.

First Indian meal in a long time. I'd forgotten they tend to be rather expensive, in this case not far off the cost of a restaurant meal even with the 15 per cent discount for collecting it myself. Maidenhead is blessed with a lot of good Chinese takeaways so it was a bit of a shock. On the plus side however, a relatively small order of 1 main, onion bhaji and pilau rice was filled out with 2 free poppadoms and dip.  Having placed my order I checked the reviews and was rather alarmed at some recent ones suggesting poor quality or small portions. It is true that the rice portion was not much more than half the size of those from local Chinese takeaways, but the main course lamb dopiaza was enormous. In fact overall the whole meal was so big that I split it in half and had the rest next day. Not only that, the main course was simply delicious and crammed with succulent lean meat. The onion bhajis were the biggest I have ever seen, though not quite the best.  The only reservations I have about Ruchi itself is that I saw one person in the kitchen without a face convering. Perhaps he was a visitor but as it was the first night of Tier 4 and visitors should not have been allowed, certainly without a face convering. Otherwise it would have been 5 stars.
