Fresh, clean food, fairly priced. Very friendly staff. Owner is very much present and is also very helpful and friendly, helped us with the local area very much. Made sure all dietary aspects were met. We had the new butter chicken dish and egg fried rice! Shame we couldn't find time to pop in again before leaving for the next place. If we find ourselves in cambridge again we will be back for some more delicious food. Would recommend!
The food was nice. But some items like curry and shashlik need more salt and sour. Rice was awesome. First time I’m trying chilli garlic rice. Rice was spicy. Really enjoyed. Also the restaurant was very small. Only 4 table’s. Need to improve the seating spaces and also in the menu drinks was vey shorter. Only 3-4 drinks available. Customer service was awesome. Staffs are tearing the customers very politely. Overall nice restaurant.
Before going to this place I always think I'm not a big fan of Indian food. But I must say the food we tried was very good. Pretty small restaurant but very clean and nice vibe. Very decent price ~£15 per person for us. Will definitely return for more delicious Indian cuisine! --------- edit: 2nd time visit This time we were told that there is a minimum amount £15 per person for the whole table, which is a bit weird and I never came across this at other restaurants before. The shrimp curry we ordered was also not as tasty as other dishes, but the lamb is great. 3 stars for this time.
A solid Indian with a wide selection of curries, sides and all the good stuff. The place seems to be very popular for delivery as well. Be aware the restaurant is alcohol-free. Service was fast and attentive.
Fantastic service and excellent food. Not been here in 20 years but will be back again with friends within the next few weeks. Service was sharp attentive and informative. The food the reason we love curry was as good as it gets . Was given additions to try and was blow away. Don’t sell alcohol but plenty of pubs next door . I only tend to have one drink with my meal do never a problem. Had alcohol free beer. A brilliant dining and food experience.
So glad we trusted the other Google reviews and ended up here! We got the lamb biryani, chicken masala, vegetable chaat, and royal naan. Though we walked in right as they were opening I'll blame the jet lag, we were greeted promptly and well taken care of. Overall, would certainly recommend stopping by Royal Spice!
Absolutely top notch. Starter, curry, rice, sides and nan all excellent. No bad points on anything. 5 Star all round and will definitely go back. Worth it !!!Food: 5/5
Had dinner here on the 29th Jan 2023. Overall great experience with well priced and portion dishes. Would recommend the lamb sagwala and okra bindi.. so delicious!! Friendly staff and great ambience. Highly recommend if you are craving for authentic Indian food!
Really rude experience, delivery gave me no sauce with my starter Bajis - called them up and got someone really pushy telling me they don't come with sauce unless I'd phoned and asked for it, pointed out the description on the site literally says with sauce like every other Indian takeaway. I asked for a refund on the Bajis only, they refused and said I had to order again from them and they'd add some for free, I declined and they hung up on me. Called back, 'manager' was also rude and pushy but said the refund was done and hung up, its been 20 days now and no refund. I have no idea why they wouldn't choose the easy option of good customer service but please take this as a warning not to bother with this place - I shall not again.
How rude, we ordered at 9:15pm, they called us saying they were out of one item we changed it, OK, great, then two minutes later they cancel our order... I called and they said they just closed which is BS. Their website says they close at 1030pm. Yes, very true. I attached a copy of the JustEat cancellation to prove it.
