Really had a nice time for my birthday. Got 2 round of free shot drinks from the owner. Excellent service and tasty food. Would recommend the tom yum soup and red thai curry with egg fried rice.Food: 4/5
Visited royal thai Dao's kitchen A new Chef here. It was a brilliant experience the food is of the very highest standards. I had mixed meats green curry the best I've ever had. As someone who loves Thai food in Thailand I’ve been craving the real deal in Nottingham. Well I’ve found it Have already been back three times this month already because the food and service is brilliant. I asked for a little spicier and they came through with the goods. I have no idea how these reviews are so high. The waitress was friendly, that's the part that got them any stars. The starters, we had squid and fishcakes. The fishcakes had no fish. They taste like fried egg, and looked like it too. The mains, I had Beef masaman. I've had this in a thai restaurant in West Bridgford and it was beautiful. Whilst the beef quality here wasn't bad, it was pretty much beef with a jar of sauce poured on top. No vegetables or anything mixed in it. My partner ordered something with deep fried prawns, I have no idea what he got but it certainly wasn't that. The menu has photos on it. What he received looked absolutely nothing like the photo they were advertising. They don't sell draft beer, or large bottles. Only 330ml bottles at £4 a time. There were 3 tables eating whilst we visited. I saw all 3 make complaints about their food. It had new management in May. I definitely wouldn't recommend.

A lovely traditional Thai restaurant. I was working in the area and spent 2 nights in Nottingham. I found this little gem near to my hotel. The food was excellent and service outstanding.Food: 5/5
