I often order and often leave reasonable reviews bit something tonight just isn't right. The chicken was like rubber The 2 X spring rolls look like they belong in an test laboratory. Never in over 10 years had a bad meal but tonight was absolutely awful
I'll be honest first time I used this place I vowed never again, but my daughter has never had an issue, so I threw caution to the wind last week, all I can say is wow, I've had a few Chinese takeaways in my time but the chicken fried rice and crispy beef were spot on .
Called in for a meal to take home about 19. 30. It has to have been the worst Chinese ever. Chicken was like eating lumps of rubber, the rest was no better. Will never eat from this place again.
Took money through PayPal, no food delivered, no answer on phone. 10 days later and they're refusing to refund despite proof of purchase. Absolute thieves. AVOID.

We are regular customers and order the same food every time, we had the same food last night and we had to throw most of it in the bin, the only thing we ate were the prawn crackers. The chips were cold and dry, chicken chowmein was cold with a few bits of cold dry chicken thrown on top, egg fried rice dry and cold and the chicken balls were soggy and undercooked and the sweet and sour sauce was a solid jelly not a liquid no more orders for you guys I'm afraid..
If there was an option to give less, I would. We have previously been loyal customers of Royal Palace, yes they have had the odd 'off night' where we haven't enjoyed the food but we have given them the benefit of the doubt. However, after this evening, I can honestly say we will NOT return. We ordered our usual, only to find that when we got home, the order was wrong. 2 dishes were incorrect. I phoned them only to be told that I must've given them my order wrong. I did not. My child has allergies and we can only order limited dishes because of this. We were given Egg Fu Yung and Chicken Chow Mein - which I did NOT order. Despite me saying that I did not have plain soft noodles in front of me, the lady on the phone repeatedly told me that I did. I did not. I asked to speak to the manager, and although I could hear them talking in the background, he did not come to the phone. She came back to the phone, and maintained that my order must have been given wrong and said that 'she did not know what to do'. My husband returned to the shop to hand back the wrong order and request a refund of the incorrect dishes which was initially refused. Eventually, we were given our money back for the 2 dishes that we paid for, but did not receive. Please note, the manager of Royal Palace made NO APOLOGY for the situation, or the wrong food that was provided which could've caused ANAPHYLAXIS. He did however, hurl abuse at my husband effing and jeffing the whole time. My husband did not speak to him in any similar way to retaliate, which he was able to bring to his attention. I am appalled and disgraced by his behaviour and that of the customer service received by staff. The person on the phone only said sorry after I had specifically brought to her attention that she had not even offered an apology. We will be reporting this matter to the Food Standard Agency and our local council. If you have ALLERGIES, please AVOID this chinese takeaway! They do not take the matter seriously, and when something does go wrong, they abuse you for even mentioning it.
