By far the best breakfast roll around. I have been going here for 20+ years when it all started as a shack on the mountain. Without exception I always go for their famous breakfast roll and it never fails to satisfy the hunger. Staff work tirelessly and it does get busy but 100% it's worth the wait. They offer far more than breakfast rolls most notably the mountain monster burger beware this burger is as described....a monster
Been coming to Caerphilly mountain snack bar for years, never a complaint. Everything is served fresh, decent quality food, great portions. Can sometimes be a bit of a wait because of how busy it gets but can't complain when everything is fresh. Would highly recommend. Parking: Car park on site free of charge. Approx 40 spaces. Can be difficult to park on busy days as it's also used as a car park for people walking the mountain. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible but no automatic doors.
It was okay. You know what you're getting food wise, it's not Michelin star quality but I enjoyed it. Place was nice and clean but I can't say the staff were very welcoming at all. A smile wouldn't have gone amiss.Recommended dishesHotdog
The Snack bar is always great, you can order to your car, the staff are friendly and always kind. It does get very busy but it is a very popular location. Always worth a visit.Food: 5/5
Unfortunately not the best experience , went there with family, sat down to eat and noticed the rolls had mold on them. Took them back to show the staff, and they said they could understand that the kids rolls had mold on them but not the other rolls. In my opinion they all shouldn't have mold on them. Very poor service, think the staff needs a bit more training on how to check food before serving customers. And to top it off they would only refund me the food after complaining not the whole bill . Again in my eyes I would have least expected a full refund and a apology from them. Will be taking it further with food Hygiene. Just to report this.
Popular place so there is a wait for the food and drinks but worth the wait ,sit, relax and great walks and views from hereFood: 4/5

Tried a burger and chips.. food was lovely but I have to admit the onions in my burger were terrible . I would visit again but opt for no onions next time.. do recommend Food: 4/5
Whilst the food served today to husband and two grandchildren was acceptable on a very busy day, there was very little, apart from a baked potato, that could be offered to me with a gluten allergy. This is inexcusable given that the menu consisted of burgers and sausages that are readily available in gluten free form. There were no gluten free bread rolls, again, easily available and can be frozen. Regarding French fries, again, nothing gluten free, as no separate fryer was in use! Why not? This seemed to be an extremely popular cafe that must generate considerable annual income. There can be no reasonable excuse why I should not have been able to enjoy what others were enjoying. A gluten allergy is not some obscure disease!! Dietary restrictions: See above comments
