I came through A&E yesterday with my 87 year old mum. Staff from the moment I entered the hospital were amazing, not only did they help my mum they saw I was distressed. Staff on Majors A were outstanding..Mum has dementia, a staff nurse brought her a little blanket with touch and feel items on it. She never stopped trying to calm mum down. I'll never forget the care and support you gave my mum. I just wish I knew her name. From the staff cleaning to the consultants thank you NHS. Your amazing.
One of the worst hospitals I’ve come to. First we called an ambulance and it didn’t turn up. When they said it’s on its way. Then they called saying they will send a taxi. Then I drove my wife after driving from work that took me 40 mins. And been here since 11pm and still here. It’s 3:30 am. This is the worst place to be in
My son was transferred to Oldham from FairfieldnHis experience of A&e was not good, he was left in a corridor . He asked if he could go to the loo at 2am, he rang us at 8am still not been , no one came to see himnEventually he was transferred to F12nWow , amazing carenYou nurses have been fabulous , well done you’re amazingnThanks for the care you gave Sam
Me and my wife last week suffered our 2nd miscarriage, it's been a very distressing time, the heartbreak has been really upsetting for my wife and me.nnThe treatment at F6 was fantastic, I hope this review reaches Megan on F6 because her care, compassion, sympathy, time and many more things was very comforting. She looked after us from start to finish. The whole staff was fantastic, but when my wife was in a very distressing moment Megan stayed with her from start to finish. She and the whole team was fantastic.nnThank you from me and my wife.nnJames & sapphire Dowling.
Appalling A&E department. Son attended on 22nd April due to an accident resulting in a knee trauma. Dirty and felt very unsafe with people kicking off left right and centre - where is the security? One parent in there had been waiting for hours for blood results for her child only to be told that they needed to repeat the blood test because they had mixed her child's blood up with someone else's.... Received a letter a few days later saying that no assessment notes at the hospital had been recorded and so we couldn't be signed off by the virtual fracture team now having to go and see a consultant because of the sheer incompetence of the A&E department. Avoid like the plague - it feels unsafe for so.many reasons.... please do not take your children there.
