Perfect spot to spend a sunny afternoon in their outside area. We tried both the Sunday roast and the homemade pies and neither disappointed. What's more the staff were very friendly and ensured we had a lovely time. Would definitely recommend if your looking for some high quality pub grub.
Great food in a great town! We learned about this pub from a couple we met at an English Heritage site. The had lots of good things to say about their meat pies, so we tried them and we have to agree, they are FANTASTIC! We definitely would recommend eating at this pub.
The Royal Oak is a nice traditional pub not far from the high street. Staff was exceptionally friendly and ready to answer any questions. The homemade pies, and the duck legs were delicious and different from traditional pub food. There is a nice little beer garden at the back. Great experience !
We've just finished a lovely roast beef takeaway - all beautifully cooked and plenty of lovely veg and gorgeous gravy. Lovely team there as well. Highly recommended.
The best place for a traditional Sunday Roast and hand made pies in Burford. The crust on the pies is sensational. They also have a nice garden and lovely beers & ales on taps. For any tourist, this is the best British experience you can get.
Difficult to park nearby, but free car within 300 metres. Friendly and helpful staff. Good food that is convenient and reasonably priced. Toilets were clean and washbasins had hot water! Interesting town that was crowded on Bank Holiday Monday 31st August 2020
