Nice and friendly place staff are so welcoming and friendly highly recommend
Good selection of draft beers ciders and ales. Friendly atmosphere and staff. Good home coked food at good prices. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area
Nice old style pub situated near Drake royal navy Barracks. The pub itself has been situated there for many years. And was used a lot by navy service people. Not to big inside but what space there is adequate. Pool table and darts available. We have used this pub many times as a meeting place for a drink. Before moving on. Good selection of drinks. It is worth a visit.
Good local pub. Excellent priced food. Music a little loud.
Had my first pint in Plymouth here in 1974 when I finished my training in Gosport and joined the Rusty B. Great memories.
Great " oldy world" feel to the pub, friendly locals and bar staff, definitely will be going there again..!!
Dying breed . Where real local pub where people friendly know each other. Now serving good honest food with fair prices . Active pool table and darts with jukebox .
Ideal pub for relaxing after a hard day's work.
Lovely pub atmosphere, duke box large screen sport , safe and freindly place to enjoy a pint.
Over the past 12 or so months the opening times have become very erratic, especially lunch time's. There is a sigle draft ale Doombar. Not particularly well kept! Sandwiches, rolls and toasties are now advertised as available, but this is more of a whim, than a real offering, expect little and get less, seems the order of the day now. The Sky and large screen sports coverage is poor and at the whim of the new management. Overall the service and quality has significantly reduced over this year with no indication things may improve at all. The toilet & washroom facilities would benefit from significant maintenance, as are borderline unsanitary. There is occasionally music generally cheap and chearfull karaoke or a lone singer of little significance possibly once or twice a month. In my opinion, the staff are friendly but ineffectual since the recent change in management micro managed by the totally in incompetent. I see little hope of improvement, an the majority of the long term service personel custom fron HMS Drake has now moved on to the Keyham Vaults, where the service is friendly sociable and willing to that little extra to make your visit enjoyable.
