WHY, OH WHY, doesn't whoever runs this museum and cafe take down the signs for the cafe. We thought we would pop into the cafe lunch, we couldn't make why there were only a few cars parked in the car park. We had to pay for 3 hours as it was, we then walked round to where the signs pointed to. As we went along along all doors were locked and windows were boarded in. We felt rather ripped off as we had paid for parking and we couldn't get a drink and some lunch. Very disappointed !!
It's closed! I was there on business, but for the rest of you.... it's shut!
Well organized, an history of the Royal Marines from the beginning to nowadays! The staff is helpful and understanding and the "all attractions" ticket that includes the Historic Dockyards museums is worth every penny!
One of my favourite places on the seafront. It is very sad that it is likely to be turned into something else insofar as I have been told. Some family history will always be associated with the place.
This please is a must. Fantastic service from fantastic people. Awesome shop I highly recommend going to visit in person or google for this awesome place Thank you very very much admin Please stay safe Kevin
Brilliant displays & a wonderful Museum overall. It's just a travesty that the Museum is being moved away from the Barracks even though we'd all rather see it stay where it rightfully belongs
I love the rmm, my favorite part is the building itself which used to be the officers mess, I've been to several weddings here in the main dining room which is just stunning
Great day and great place. Full of history of the regiment mixed with the current real aspects of the Core. Nice location too.
We visited the museum in 1981 to help me gain information for an article I was preparing. I was very pleased at the help the staff gave me and the general concern they displayed.
A fantastic museum but such a massive shame that it is closing at the end of March. The history of being based in the barracks will be lost and any new base will not be the same
