I received a missed delivery slip for a book that I had ordered online. I went to collect this yesterday (Tuesday 6th February) at 12:20 to find the post office had closed early. I returned today, Wednesday 7th February, to collect my parcel. After waiting 15 minutes I was presented with the package pictured as displayed in the images; ripped open and damaged from water. 

I requested to speak to the manager who explained that 'the package should have been dealt with differently but water damage is not their responsibility.' She then went on to state that 'it was a new postal worker that delivered the package who hasn't been trained in the procedure for dealing with wet or damaged packages but to rest assured that she will train him.' I then requested the deliver slip as evidence and the postal manager took it away.
