Getting fed up of having to hunt down parcels and mail when its literally their job to deliver. How my latest parcel was delivered to the wrong address with a completely different signature is beyond me. Ringing the sorting office is an impossible task as well. Rang all day with not one pick up. Carry on like this and public support for your strike will wane very quickly as its obvious change is needed and quickly.
Customer service is rude and obstructive during the very limited hours they are present. Like stepping into the 1970’s. Delivery service no better, we get post for random addresses and have to rely on others dropping our mail round. This “company” would not exist if it actually had to survive in the real world without government support. Awful.
Had the great misfortune of having to go to main branch to drop of my business mail, as Dover road branch closed normal working day 29th Dec so not a clue why, and had closed previous day 28th, at 12 - instead of normal 5pm I made the mistake of assuming, as it was a normal day, normal opening hours would apply, silly me for such a thought. Staff member more intent of arguing instead of trying to help some of mail had yesterdays paid labels on them, and this led to his whole world near collapsing, "l can't accept it as yesterdays". Explained you do when you have been on strike so it is possible But l was met with uncooperative argumentative attitude. IT IS A GREAT SHAME SUCH AN OLD FINE INSTITUTION SEEMS INTENT ON DESTROYING IT SELF - they don't seem to realise there are now numerous couriers out there now, but some members not all seem to be on self destruct.
I was given a card for an undelivered parcel which stated to pick it up from depot office. Depot office claimed they they don't have it. Tried to re-direct it to nearest Post Office. They don't have it. Royal Mail completely lost my parcel without the honest decency to admit it, unprofessional. High-value parcel too. Counter staff demonstrated poor customer service. They took my number down to escalate to supervisor. No answer back. went there at least 6 times to ask for an update. Formal compliant put through to Royal Mail to explain the situation, depot office were given 3 days to action and locate the parcel. Nothing has happened. The best advice I would give to anyone is if RM deliver a parcel to you and the courier-type is often something you can't choose, make sure you or someone else is in because otherwise they will lose your package.
For the second time despite being advertised as open you were closed!!!! How are we meant to pick up our parcels if you are NEVER open!!!!!
Useless closes at 12 on a sat and Monday so doesn’t give you much chance to collect anything.also postman are useless don’t knock or ring bell on sat as there in too much of a rush to get home.not good
States open 4 to 7 fridays at folkestone .but was closed didnt give me time to get to door and are flowers
There are quite clearly staff members that couldn't care less about customer service. I've experienced lying from the Postal Delivery staff saying that they have attempted a delivery and I wasn't in when I was and they didn't even try knocking on my front door. Not always putting a Something For You Card put through my door when they've attempted delivery. Thousands of pounds worth of items going missing. And to top it all, the opening hours of the Sorting Office are terrible. How can people who work from home collect their items when they only open 8 to 10 or 8 to midday some days? The Royal Mail are here to provide customer service when is this sorting office going to actually make sure their staff do their jobs properly?
I'm in there regularly as at work when my parcels are attempted to be delivered. The staff have always been good and never had any issues in the many years of me going there. There are rules like needing certain id, calling back the next day after parcels were attempted to be delivered, treating the staff as you wish to be treated yourself, I think you get the idea and these rules should be expected by everyone anyway.
Unsure of colleagues name but she was working at the front desk at 5.30pm 28th of January. Excellent customer service, went out of her way to find my parcel. Perfect!
