I have attended this surgery for 19 years. Sonia the manager is NOT racist... I have found her to be very supportive and understanding... She went to bat for me with one of the local hospitals and has always been willing to listen. Leanne her deputy is one of the most caring, gentle and sincere people I know. Deb the nurse is an old fashioned nurse with a caring heart and good skills. She always calls back and is very kind. The reception staff are all welcoming and go out of the way to help. I have not had a problem with them ever. My husband and I have chronic health issues and I am disabled... although I miss Sarah, and get frustrated by their use of locum doctors it's not their fault there are not enough GPs. That's why they call you... to try to stretch the appointments they have. You want more appointments? Elect someone who won't cripple the health service but don't blame these people. The surgery is old but clean and accessible. It is not dilapidated. Parking is a problem but it's on a good bus route. When my husband and I needed help, the people here did all they could for us. 4 stars because I think they should hire an ANP to manage care in the absence of a full time GP. I'm a nurse and trained District Nurse. This surgery does not deserve the bad reviews it has here. People have used this to make complaints: they should bring those to the surgery instead of defaming it.

I have just spoken to a lovely lady who is a Medical Receptionist and her name is Karen Brain. What a professional and a breath of fresh air. In one phone call she has sorted myself and my partner, rearranged dates and given excellent advice also. It was a joy to speak to her which is why I feel compelled to give this feedback. I hope your employers understand what an asset you are to the practice and how informative and helpful you are. What a genuine person that helps people because that is what she does.

No Stars - not since Sarah left. The surgery is dreadful - the reception team are the only shining light. The new manager is racist and uneducated in Diversity and Political Correctness making statements such as "Indian people tend to shout". Defending a new doctor despite more than one official complaint being logged and a raft of patients opting to leave this old dilapidated surgery. Without notice - medication takes from two days to three days to get to your appointed collection point. Appointments are the usual nightmare of all surgeries. Any attempts at becoming computerised have failed - their phone system is like a selection box. Awful manager and new doctor - my advise don't go to this surgery if you want to have a decent medical service provision.

Avoid this surgery as id waited 2 weeks for a appointment when i turned up they said i didnt have one booked n to go to a walk in centre.. they refused to see me when there wasnt no1 waiting.. receptionists are rude they need more training on customer service and how to book in appointments properly........
