Great place. It is really basic. But what do you expect for £50 a night for the whole campsite and buildings. our Explorers love it here. Location spot on. 10 mins from Conwy. 30 mins from snowdonia NP. Surf Snowdonia and zip world 25 mins.

Great scout camp location, beautiful views, great area, out of the way, close to the Dutch pancake house

I was a scout in Llandudno Junction and was on the Rowen working group every Saturday afternoon.  Mr Ralphs was the District Commissioner and Harry Orford was one of my own scout masters.  I am nearly 70 yo now and I will request some of my ashes are scattered at this Scout Campsite. I still have my neckerchief and uniform patches from Rowen.nnI live in Tennessee now.  I have also camped here when I was Venture Scout Leader at Nene Valley VSU in Northampton.nnMy life was founded at this magnificent place.

Awesome site, beautiful view, really good facilities and layout perfect for a scout camp...

Absolutely brilliant place. Very basic but shelter as soon as you get there. Tables and chairs, log burner for warmth, gas cookers if needed,  beds for leaders. Lovely safe Woods for scouts to explore. Great camping area. Gas and logs included in the price. Will take a water boiler next time, no hot water was my only negative but not a huge inconvenience as we boiled pans when needed.nYou make it good or bad. We had a whale of a time. Will be booking again.nShame on you Thomas Powell. Would like to know why you thought it was so bad.n1st Carmel Scouts.
